This may be a dumb question, but would it be beneficial to feed your worms a slow release dry amendment like Gaia Green's bloom and then use said castings topdressing with beneficials or to just top dress with the dry amendments and beneficials?
I feed my worms both food scraps and amendments, mostly stick to the food scraps and just use some neem/alfalfa sporadically. One of my bins has been going for almost 2 years now without harvesting the full bin. I haven't done this on purpose, really just laziness of not separating the majority of worms into a new bin, but they seem to be staying healthy and well populated. That said, I have probably ran a good amount of amendments through my bin and still topdressed with a few amendments added really lightly. Something like 2 tablespoon kelp/ 1 tablespoon frass/ 1 tablespoon gypsum mixed with a few scoops of both fresh ewc and fresh soil, came out to a little over a gallon that I used. I watered it in with a little epsom. No issues so far and nothing but praying plants since. I am not in an ideal situation, so I didn't veg my plants for too long, so only plan to topdress a one more time just to try and stay ahead of the plants in these 3 gallon smartpots. Probably just be straight ewc/fresh soil next week just to be proactive again.

Just looked up the gaia green bloom ingredients and it seems like it would be a real good addition to the worm bin. Lots of different minerals in there to help with the grit for the worms and also start the breaking down process of all those goodies before they hit the soil. So I personally would probably use it periodically to feed the worms in small doses and still add a little of the gaia to a topdress.

Sorry man, all this is just my thought process of it all and by no means am I an expert. Check into how Coots does his bins now though, I think he uses strictly amendments through his bins (dont quote me on this either). He might also talk about if he amends his topdressing at all.

sorry if this isnt apropreate for the post, but if you want to multipl your worms at any time, give them a slice of bread with marmite/vegimite or yeast extract, all the same thing. they multiply like mad. go go

The way that I was taught was that running the amendments through the compost is the best way to do it. The best advice that I can give is to skip P inputs and splurge on greensand and azomite(basalt too). I mostly spend my $ on a variety of rock dusts, but I also get all the free produce that I want. Clackamas Coot's recipe is mostly about his worm bin and 2yr old leaf mold. Here is a 3pt series on Clackamas:
