I would say that they would get root bound.......2L = a little over a half a gallon......a plant should have about 1 gallon for every foot of growth. You could grow them in the 2L bottle for a while then put in a larger pot later on, or just go buy some 3 gallon grow bags and use those.....very cheap and room for proper growth

hmmm the problem is i have enough room horizontaly to fit bout 6 2liters in my growroom, im tryin to do a sog 2 fem blueberryseeds,2 non femmed the purps seeds, and 2 fem hashplant seeds......
and i want them to grow as big as my last plant with multiple colas not just one. i got over a zip off my blue berry i just harvested but i wanna do a sog with something small enough to fit 4-6 containers in my space. vertical space is no problem.

That's probably fine. It takes a while for plants to get root bound.

You could cover the 2 liter bottle in aluminum foil to light-proof it so the roots stay safe.

yea im not worried bout the light proofin ill juss cover it with black trash bags, im juss worried they get root bound. i could measure the root mass from the plant i harvested and see if itll fit in a 2 liter bottle? but diffrent strains diffrent needs ya kno. i need reassurence I NEED COMFORT haha

The roots will adapt to the room they have available... and *nearly* stop growing. It's rarely fatal, you can always transplant.

I just know that recommended is 1 gallon per foot of growth but I think you could try it at least....I think some strains require larger root systems than others. It is definetly worth a shot then you will know for next time and your garden will be able to accomodate more plants each time and that is always a good thing

hmmm yea im juss scared cuz i only got 2 the purps seeds and i dont want them to get stressed from a small container. maybe i juss put 4 1 gallon milk jugs in there instead of 6 2liter bottles. i juss need enuff to last me between harvest, so like 2- 4 OZ

I still think it is worth a try....the worse case sinereo is you just transfer to a bigger container, people do it all the time without any ill effects. I grew inside a coffee container before and it got full so I just transfered to a bigger container and it just took off like normal

personaly im just starting my sog, i have 1 mother for clones, i have 2 girls at 4 weeks old, 4 at 2 weeks old and 4 clones just taking root, also 9 seedlings sprouting, i will stagger them so i have perpetual grow.
hope this was helpfull. Anythin from a few gram to an oz is possible when you have your nutes dialed in, read the whole of that post, its awsome.
I hope to get approx 30 plants in my cab, i dont have to worry about males as all my seeds were feminised.

4 weeks is too long, you'll be forced to watch the plants almost constantly... I just switched to hydro but I still have a cpl in soil... for 2 liters, I wouldn't let them get over 6" before putting them in flower... I let them hit 4-5 nodes and then they're HPS bound. Here's my last soil plant, put in at 4"... Grown from seed...it would have done a little bit better at around 6, but I had another ready to go so I figured "why not?" It's about 12" now, I figure it'll finish around 14- 16" and it's bulking up nicely

lol... I was referring to the thread title, not your personal grow... btw, you might wanna give DBG the credit for that thread, I know you linked it, but you didn't mention that it wasn't yours ;)
always nice to give credit where credit is due :bigjoint:

DBG was averaging anywhere from 7- 21 per plant, but that's with his personal strain and strains he's worked with for some time, so needless to say, he had everything dialed in. You might also want to check out Thundurkel's threads at the same site, you'll see him posting towards the end of DBG's thread there... he was another direct result of DBG's method. You can grow beautiful plants with no fancy bells and whistles :hump:... it's just really about how much time you want to put into it. I just switched to DWC and I'll never go back to soil... less work, never overwater, better results in the same space... win all the way around.

Glad to see DBG's influence reaching out further than it has.... Grow Safe

OK!! Sorry man, I had no intentions of hijacking your thread, I'll delete the posts if it bothers you...

This young lady was transplanted about 2 weeks into flower (not recommended)
grown in a 2 liter from seed, probably about 3 weeks worth of veg. and as you can see, it is a sat. dominant strain and it's grown more than I wanted.

***newsflash*** roots don't give a shit what color your container is ;) This plant grew up from seedling in that root beer bottle.

some flowers ;)

DWC:

Just put in a few days ago

Male showed itself yesterday, it's root mass before it got the axe

Here's a few of the mains after I cut the mass and pulled it from the basket

all of these were from seed, so I've had to weed out males along the way... This one is showing the traits of a female so I'll just throw it back into veg for a few more weeks and let her get all that extra space to herself... this is going to be a beast.

Taken on the 2nd, the other plant is the biddy early male

taken on the 7th, 5 days later

These were taken on the 13th... 6 days growth... lol

This was taken last night... 5 days...

Once I found out the biddy early was a male, it just made sense to put this one back into veg... I can make up for the other plant by vegging this one out for a few more weeks

again, sorry to photo dump in your thread bro, no disrespect meant
