Would any 4" 100+CFM Fan work for exhaust ventilation for a 2'x2'x4' grow tent?

Hey guys,
Just placed my order for 5 Citizen 1212 36V,3500K COBs, HLG-240h-1400b Driver (going to run it @50-70% output), and 5.886" x 22" Heatsink (With 2 140mm fans) for my vegetation tent and was wondering if a cheap fan like this would work as an exhaust fan:

From what I'm reading, I dont need a carbon filter for a veg tent right? Also if the fan I linked above doesn't work does anyone have any suggestions? It is literally the last thing I need for my veg tent to be complete.

Whether you need a filter for a veg tent totally depends on how stealthy you want your grow, plants can still get a bit stinky in veg depending on the strain. That exhaust fan will circulate warm, stale air out just fine.

Well all things considered, I don't mind the smell and as I am growing legally I don't have to worry about getting caught because of the smell. Thanks for letting me know the fan will work! It was by far the cheapest and I'm not trying to spend an extra $20-30 for an extra 60-90 CFM unless someone tells me that it will help tremendously more than this one

Lol no, I live in an upscale neighborhood and the place I live in is extremely well secured. Also thanks for the 6" inch fan info but wouldn't I need to get a speed controller to turn it down or would it be fine without a speed controller?

I use a 6in VenTech with a Digital temperature controller in my 2x2x4' cabinet and it works good. The 6in VenTech's have a metal housing with metal fan blades not plastic. Like cobkits said it is only a couple dollars more.

No it just kicks the fan on at a certain temp to control temps in the cabinet. I bought a fan speed controller to control the speed of the fan but it was useless with these fans because there is little to no adjustment for the fan speed.

Thanks for the info! Pretty much done now with my veg tent. Going to set it all up once parts arrive.

Edit: Also which digital temp controller are you using?

if your handy you can buy a dual temp and humidity controller board off ebay for $20. essential if youre flowering because night cycle cool temps+high humidity, if your fans not kicking on youre creating an ideal environment for mold

^^^^This is a great idea cobkits. I bought a humidity controller from the same brand to control humidity and had to pay an extra $35 for it. So over $50 dollars total.

Prob very similar except the price. Cobkits is big into DIY and it can save you a lot of money if what you want to build is in your skill set.

Also I was wondering if you are running 4 COBs on a 179V/1400 mA Driver, @1400 mA it will be 35.32V per COBs. So 35.32 x 4 = 141.28V, would the Driver only use ~141.28V instead of the whole 179V.

yes and youd have room to add a cob later. the driver would adjust you wouldnt be wasting power...

Cool, also would I be able to attach a COB Holder/Reflector with kapton tape instead of drilling and screwing it down to the heatsink? I heard the thermal interface material can hold the COB by itself and that only a little kapton tape was needed for extra safety. So under that logic can I use thermal interface material and kapton tape the COB holder down?
