Would it be cheaper to run 2 150w hps vs a 400w hps?

Yer i run a 600w dimmable, 660w 600w 400w 250w, helps manage heat sometimes. Got mine in a coolshade with a 6" high powered ruck inline fan.
Nice, I do the same mainly w the summer lurking around Dim will be useful, I got 8" high and about to install a vert. parabolic reflector 4 bloom aiming to have more intense hps spot. After I opened 2 secrets vents I notice my girls in a different grow rate , wow, plus helped a lot w temps and moist I'm in a attic, where is impossible to grow as some experts say. but....

8" high powered sounds nice, my 6" is like a mini jet engine on full :-)

High CandyBeast,
I'm about to run a set of autos , so here it is the question " is it possible to run autos on 12/12 regiment from seed to flower"?
thanks

You'll get a better yield from 18/6 compared to other lighting schedules on autos but some strains run different. Also feeding schedule makes a difference on them as well. Usually 1-2 feelings of veg and then bloom the rest of the way.

It is definitely possible , but height and yield will be diminished. I usually use auots to fill up empty spaces in my tent. Since they will adapt to any light schedule. The best auto grow I have had is from a regular 18/6- 12/12 cycle. I think you'll get better results using regular seeds from 12/12. Save the auots for when you can give them a lot of veg stage light( first three weeks or so of an autos life). In short, yes.

I would TOTALLY have to disagree with this. Yes, 12/12 from seed may take less time, as most autoflowers are intended to, but is a COMPLETELY different style all together. Running reg or fem seeds 12/12 from see tricks the plant into an early flower yes, however an auto flower can be kept under 18/6 or 20/4 light ratio through out it's entire life. In both cases however, you could pop a new seed anytime. Just my two cents on this comment.
I was in 12/12 cycle , other plants in flower. I wouldn't start them on an 18 hr cycle because I would have sent other plants back to veg

"Penetration" is better when using multiple light sources, not worse.

The problem with 150W HPS over 400W, however, is it's less efficient at generating light and is less convenient to hang up 2 lamps rather than one.
