Would this be an OK beginers set

here is a HYDRO system I found for 70 bucks. IM to lazy to build it.
Just wondering if this would be ok for a beginer not counting lights or tent and stuff just the tub it self is what I was wondering about. OH its a 10 Gallon tub

I would only use one in a 4 x 2 x 5 ft tent 600watt HPS/HFand all that will be used just wondering if the tube as pictured would work and worth 70 bucks.....actuall price dont matter just want to know if this will work or is it a ripp.

If I were you, if you've never grown cannabis before.. you should probably look into starting with soil instead of hydro.

Hydroponics involves a TON of 'must do' things.. and if not done absolutely correctly, it can and will ruin your entire grow.

With soil, you don't really need any kind of start-up kit.

All you need for soil growing is the following:

1. soil
2. water
3. grow pots
4. seeds (of course)
5. nutrients
6. Lighting
7. fans
8. Digital timer for your lights


Basically, that's all you need for soil growing. I use a certain brand of bottled water for watering my plant(s). So, bottled water, soil, lights, seeds, and two fans.. is all I use for my soil growing and its not failed me yet. Well, I've had a few screw-ups but hey, who hasn't right? But the mess-ups were my fault.. had nothing to do with my equipment.

I would buy it for 70 bucks if you didn't want to build one.
Personally I built mine and it is a great setup.

Well...a plant grows everywhere it can find the nutrients and stuff to grow:
as long as you provide these things, it will grow (virtually you could place it in an aquarium too, obviously adopting the necessary handwork!)
Anyhow...the system I see here seems pretty well built, but remember that in hydroponics the majority of problems come from human mistakes, not from the machinery you use.

If it is the first time you grow, then my advice is to start with growing your plants in pots and trust in earth, as micro organisms will do all the hard work for you (I mean balancing the right PH level).
In hydroponics you constantly have to measure PH and mineral concentration (EC level) in water: a mistake, expecially if it is the first time you grow and don't know what to do, can be fatal for your plants.

Don't even imagine to start growing without an EC tester, PH revealing strips and a PH stabilizer, otherwise the values in your solution will constantly change due to oxidation of the mineral substances, resulting in an unstable PH and ill plants.

So I repeat my advice is to start with EARTH, which can give you very good results to start with.

Anyhow, the system you linked is absolutely ok...just make sure you start with everything you need, don't be compelled to start even if you don't have all the stabilizers and testers otherwise you will kill your plants in few days...

Looks like you've got yourself a good cloner there, not sure how well you can grow in that though. You would have to keep your girls small or use a scrog.

Hey thanks everyone..........ok its a good system......NOW its up to me to it right. Ive read a ton and I figure only way to learn in jump in there andd do it. Hey if I fuck up I learn......I want this to be a fun hobby and maybe get a few buds out of the deal. Soon as I get it all together and I am comforterble with all Ive learned here on Rollit UP Ill start a jornual and hope for the best.......YOU guys are great thanks so much
