Would this stunt growth?

I am starting a new grow with 6 plants. The problem is, I currently have a grow going on with 2 plants, which are currently flowering, and they are using the only space/indoor light source that I can use, which is upstairs in our finished attic. So I can't put these seedlings on a 12/12 light schedule which the other plants are using. So I was thinking of starting these seedlings outside on our balcony (which doesn't get much sun, and we live in the center of town, so they would have to be on the floor, not in direct sunlight, but a lot of natural ambient sun), and then during the day before my girlfriend goes to work, she can bring them upstairs when the light turns on at 9 so they can get some of that light. But then that got us thinking "Wow, its going to be a real pain in the ass to hall 6-3 gal pots upstairs every day for about a month-month 1/2."

So I was thinking of doing either 1 of 2 things. Either 1) planting them in the 3 gal pots, and just leaving them on the balcony the entire time for the month-month 1/2 when the other plants are havested, and then just bringing them upstairs for the rest of the grow, but they won't be getting very much direct sunlight for that month-month 1/2, so I don't know how that will affect them. or 2) Planting them in cut-off 2 lt soda bottles (for easy transportation), so we can bring them upstairs everyday for the light, and then just bring them back down at nighttime when the lights go out. But if we do #2, would that stunt their growth at all, being confined to a small root space (2 litres), but getting the benefit of the direct light? I am in a bind on what to do!

All suggestions/comments are appriated! Thanks!

That's tough. I'd say set up a cheap CFL grow space for them, if possible? Maybe wait until the few plants you have flowering are done, and then start the other 6?

I see a big potential for bugs if you're moving them back and forth.

if you do number 2 you cant have the roots exposed to light so you need to put somthing on the two liter so light cant get to the roots..but yeah that does seem like a pain in the ass..i say go with raviloi..cheap cfl grow

We actually just planted them yesterday! So.... yeah..... We didn't think of this until today haha. Hrmm.... Do you think that the bottle thing would be a good idea, as in terms of root growth? I don't we'll have to worry about too many bugs. It is a screened in balcony, and we currently have other plants out there (tomatoes, peppers, ect.), and we don't have any bug problems, plus I have an organic spray if one arises. Or do you think that we should just leave them out there? We don't have really anymore room for 6 plants for a CFL grow.

We forgot about the 12/12 light schedule. We have room for the plants..... but currently the only room for them is being used by flowering plants! Yeah, I know we are dumbasses.
