Would this work to cool a light unsealed?

Until I move I'm reduced to using my small grow tent=3'x4'x6.5'.I have 2 150w hps open hood built in ballast hydrofarms and 1 600w hps with the cheap open wing reflector.I want to air cool the hood to get light closer and make it usable in summer.I'm still not understanding if I'm gonna loose spectrum for growth?I'm sure you loose uva or b and that helps resin development, right? What about this.I saw a air cooled hood before designed without bottom hood glass.designer said suction was good enough itself. What if I take something like this and hook it up to 2 6" over 300cfm each and put small carbon filters on both to slow airspeed a little?Or should I not worry about the spectrum and just setup with glass?Don't have a problem keeping it clean. My main concern is the temps.Any knowledge of light quality and best way to do it will be appreciated.Sealing up no problem with it was just pondering.Forgot to ask if cool tubes are better hanging in center bare bulb?

If spectrum is your only concern I would go with the enclosed hood with glass. Ive read that glass does block some UV but hps aint renowned for their uv output anyway. You could always supplement with a cfl in the last few weeks to provide some. Ive got an open hood which ive crudely converted into an enclosed hood with some card and foil and the hose of an inline fan jammed in the side to try extract some hot air but its pretty poor, definately upgrading soon. :blsmoke:

Hey bluntwrapp my main concern is to lower temps and get 600 closer without starting a forest fire.So sealed reflector or cooltube. If cooltube should I hang it in center with no wings? If sealed my actual size tent measured is 36"x48"x7' what design hood will concentrate the light in such a footprint(mine now shines half on sidewalls).

Soz bro, dont have experience with either :-| but im sure your fan pulling out over 300cfm is more than capable of cooling either. My setups about the same size, personally i'll be going for the sealed reflector, more aesthetics than anything else but yeah the cooltube designs i've seen don't look like they would concentrate much light, companies are even making refelctors to attach cooltubes to for better light distribution.
