would your ideal bowlpack/joint consist of rock hard dense nug or soft fluffy weed?

I just spent 80 bux on gravity and snow storm ultra, there really is nothing appealing to me about fluffy buds, last fluffy bud I had I snap a bud in two and you could see this puff of triches I suppose go up into the air, seems like a waste, if this gravity works like its supposed to I'll be using it from now on.

its alright man, i think your missing the point.
us dense people are talking about the weed itself and its corelation to the density. you, im guesing a fluffy person just keep talking about the density witch has no relavence when u put it in the grinder.

Couldn't REALLY tell you as I've only done a few grows - but I DO like my buds dense-ish and dry as hell if that makes any sense...

just think about the mexican car compactor example... i think its a pretty good one... it isolates density from other factors and makes its pretty clear that if all things are equal(taste potency ect) dense is not better
your just becoming less dense more fluffy when you use a grinder. why is this a good argument for dense is better?

if the mexican car compacter does not make their weed better, than you must admit density could only be good to a point. next step is to realize by grinding you are making the rock nug fluffier and less dense. now, if you smoke all day like i do you must acknowledge that even though grinding is a small pain in the ass, you must multiply the ass pain by how many bowls you pack in a day, then multiply again by the total number days that you want to be a pot smoker, to get the total amount of ass pain you will experiance in you ganja career.

next step is to realize that doing pointless extra work all the time even if its not that big of a deal, is silly. finally you will see the light that putting a perfect,soft nug in a bowl with out touching it and having a perfect smoke and a fatter looking bag at weight can only be better. this is perfection people i know there are tasty strains of denseness out their(my bwid) but all things being equal dense is an unfavorable trait when side by side to a equally potent fluffy bud!

You keep comparing "dense" to that trashy mexican shit I USED to be able to smoke. I think most of us mean naturally dense buds not something thats been put in a trash truck and compacted.

density is a very specific thing. i know we smoke better than the mexi shit, but the analogy or whatever applies

any one who prefers to smoke dense nugs over fluffy weed is jus clueless. the fluffier the weed is the more volume it has. hence, more volume= more surface area=more space for trichomes to develop.. so if you're getting fluffy weed you'll get more of it, and more THC.

oh and also, with fluffy weed you can just put it in ur bowl without even having to break it down. hence, more trichomes stay on the bud, and intact.

so you'r saying you smoke stems

i just think if the mexican pack down makes it too dense(squashed brick) then there is a limit to density being good. then i think if i cant smoke it with out grinding it fluffy, thats the limit, thats too dense

You are retarded. Fluffy means more Trichomes? So you are in the group saying it's only the very outside of a bud has the resin? So you buy your weed by volume not weight? You realize the stem of an airy fluffy bud still has a weight? That weight is better off holding 5g of a dense bud than 2g of fluff. So if I pay for .5g of a stem I want more smoke-able material with the .5g. This making sense?

You don't smoke volume. You smoke the mass. Trichomes are resin BTW. If I get a Ounce with 4 stems that weigh 2g total of dense Nugs that is better than an Ounce of fluffy Bud with the stems weighing in at 4g. Now does that analogy make sense. Fluffy buds still have a stem holding them together.

Use the same trash compactor theory on a bag of dense bud and you'll get the same results: a bag of compressed buds where the percentage of resin by volume has gone up according to how much you squished it. Are you really asking why compressing Mexican weed for transport doesn't turn it into dank...?

A small dense bud can have just as much or more surface area as a bigger fluffy one, it's just in more compact layers. As each new calyx piles onto your plants, don't they each have their own bed of resin? It doesn't go anywhere as new layers grow over it, it's still in there when you peel the layers away to smoke it later.

It seems that the poll should have been "Who prefers not to grind their stuff before they smoke it?". I'm almost exclusively a joint smoker, and I'm not about to just roll a paper around a bud and lick it, fluffy or dense. The dense one would be like trying to smoke an acorn and the fluffy one would probably tear my throat out. De-stem it and grind it up nicely first and it will burn like a cigarette.

You're pretty stuck on something that is just a personal, somewhat underdog, opinion. It's also pretty strain dependent. I couldn't care less, smoke whatever you like, it doesn't affect me. I just don't know why you seem to be looking for converts.

volume matters. its more bowlpacks(they will burn faster). you dont want old smoke to sit in the bowl. you want it to burn down, and you want more fresh pack in your bag. all bud dense or fluffy has stem...clean that shit out before you even cure it. just nug in my cure jar.
