I wonder if you would say that if it was your grandfather he killed.

Jesus died for our sins on the cross; If you can't forgive those of who have trespassed against you, then you've successfully failed the first true lesson in life.

How can someone learn from their mistakes by being put in jail for the rest of their life? Seems like a simple waste, now our tax dollars go to feed and house him for the rest of his life.
which is why i say bring back keel hauling.
its a terrible, cruel way to die, you either drown quickly or are ground to bits against the underside of a ships hull while its moving through the water. you pretty much have to make the choice yourself, fight it and be pulverized or just let go.
powerfull deterrent imho

I have a problem with trying minors as adults. To me, minors are minors until they are eighteen. It ain't right.

But that opens up a pretty big can of worms. What to do with the sorry motherfuckers?

ahh the problem with minors is its hard to punish em without turning them into a career criminal.
i know this, because it almost happened to me

Just because its what you choose to believe doesn't make it anymore true.

no trial.... just shoot em:clap:
I don't know, Bro.

Someone capable of committing such a crime is probably irretrievable. Perhaps....

Maybe we should have a Dirty Dozen, or Point of No Return program for these throwaway bastards. They do well and they get a life for themselves. They fuck up, they die.

About age 3 you learn the difference between right and wrong. If you beat (if I read it right, I'm stoned...) a 61 year old man and kill him with no probable cause, What makes you think he shouldn't be punished? A 15 year old would know better than that, but I guess some people are just born fucked up. 25 years in prison would suffice imo. Unless he was "peer pressured" into it and grew up in a violent family / neighborhood, in which case I'd suggest counseling and/or rehab.

@ the guy above me..

I saw that movie, That was fucked up haha.

And look how well that turned out....

At the end of the picture, the killer is portrayed as a victim.

His mouth gaping open, waiting to be fed. Demanding to be fed.
To me the end was hilarious when hes opening his mouth with a smacking noise.. Lol. But he looked fine at the end after a bit of rehab. Don't think he'll be doing the ol' in-out in-out for awhile. ROFL.

I agree cb, there isn't much of a right answer, nobody wants to be a killer, but nobody wants to live with such scum... Well I take that back, people are willing to do both, but I think you get the point..

I guess he should have thought of the consequences before he went and killed a person...It does seem harsh that he got life without parole, but what he did was also harsh. I can't really feel sorry for him young or not. How would you feel if he was 18? That's only three years..what's the difference?

Actually if you live around me and affect the people around me and my life then i will judge whomever i want, no need to wait for god, you cant sit back and do nothing. I bet the homeless guy would prefer life in prison over being dead. these worthless people should be relieved from this planet. And all the people whining about him being a minor, then why havent you mentioned his parents, wouldnt they be responsible?

Someone has to take responsibility. And it should be the teenager. If his parents take responsibility for him, the kid isn't learning a thing. I know he's 15.. I went to jail and mental institution housing when i was 14-15, and a couple more times as well. But I'm over it now. I also never came close to KILLING anyone. I've been locked up for much less. I believe he deserves 25 years, and whatever beatings ensue or jailhouse bull-shit where he accumulates more charges brings. He can rot in jail. If he were in Texas, would the death penalty still apply to a 15 year old? Or would they imprison him until he is of age, and then off him? I believe he deserves a long time in a cage, and then death.

And what happens after he serves those 25 years and gets out? Then you have a 40 y/o convicted murderer who has spent the majority of his life in prison, out walking the streets. I'm sure people will be lined up waiting to offer the guy a job. And since prison does such a great job of rehabilitation, he would never commit another crime...right?

As far as counseling/rehab...HE KILLED AN INNOCENT MAN FOR ENTERTAINMENT. And you want to give him counseling? Because he was "peer pressured"? WTF?

My only problem with capital punishment is the number of people who have been cleared by dna evidence while sitting on death row. Anyone who can not afford an expensive lawyer is at a huge disadvantage in an american court.
