Wow I just had a crazy problem

Ok so my plants have been lush, green, vigorous and just all around happy lately up until 2 days ago and within like literally 2 days they looked all jacked up. I have been going absolutely nuts trying to figure out what is doing it. I do DWC I have been doing bucket changes every 7 days, bucket temp stays at 72, temp and humidity have been perfect, light isn't even hot and its a 1000w mh that doesn't even start getting hot until you get about 1" away from the glass... I just so happened to buy this sentinel chhc-4 (thank god) and the other night when I walked in the room at NIGHT TIME the co2 ppm were at 2880 ppm... mind you my white russians are only 22 days old from seed... the HYDROFARM ACTIVE AIR REGULATOR FOR ROOMS OVER 10 X 10 FROZE OPEN (sorry had to make that big so nobody skips over that and buys this piece of shit) and my leaves on my beautiful babies now look like they are burned with thrip damage plus a calcium and mag def and some of the new growth tips are black. I haven't been able to figure out what was wrong until now I was just sitting here thinking about what it could possibly be and that is the answer... I have one dying plant over this it looks like hopefully it picks up... I am sure it is what it is now because ever since I turned off the co2 they are starting to pick back up... I just wanted to make this thread to get other opinions and to let people know that I think that high of a co2 level can do that much damage overnight because I have been looking high and low for answers and there really isn't a lot of info on this it seems like. Comment please and post pics of co2 damaged plants so I can see what they look like and confirm because I can't find any.
