wtf is wrong w/ kids today??

...damn, let me first say that i feel like a crotchedy old man even saying this shit, but wtf is wrong with kids today??
i just chased some kid off of my front porch for about the 20th time this month.. knock and run, no big deal, everyone did that as a kid.. but i didn't chase him right away tonight, i gave him about ten minutes before i took cuju, errr, my dog, for a walk.. i got two houses down from mine, and i see what i think is the same kid writing on my neighbors fence with a sharpy..
now mind you, i don't live in the most upper class neighborhood that there is, nor do i live in the ghettos either.. i can see the knock and run, what ever, harmless, but when people start to destroy peoples property, that shit bugs me.. if you want to live like that, move to the fucking ghetto is what i say.. i work hard to keep my house looking nice, as do my neighbors, and for some young jerkoff to be out there painting ...fuck wesley ... or what ever intelligent thing the kid had to say on my neighbors fence, well, it rubs me the wrong way...
than, about ten or so minutes after i get back from my dog walk, my one sister calls.. she lives maybe two blocks away from where i do, and she was out for a walk too as it was scorching hot here today during the day.. well, she was almost home, when some group of kids on the other side of the street threw a soda at her, and when she stopped and said wtf, another kid in the crowd threw something else at her as well..
i mean, wtf is wrong with these kids?? is it that they just need their asses beat, or what?? i take my dog on my walk with me, and i would love to unleash him when i catch one of these fuckers, but i know that if i did do that, i would be the one getting arrested and being hauled off to jail and my dog being put down as a result of giving these kids a dose of their own medicine..
i know that i was a kid once too, mind you a long long time ago, lol.. but not really, for fucks sake, i'm only going to be 40 this year, but i don't think i ever acted like some of these kids i'm seeing around today, and to be honest, it really scares me as a member of society as to where our country is heading.. its a real disgrace honestly..
i just read on another forum this teen in the uk threw a brick through a van's window, and hit the five year old inside in the face and broke her nose and knocked out some of her teeth as well... and the kid never got caught.. and you know if the parent were to do what i would have liked to do, and run the lil fucker over with my van, he would have been in prison and the kid would have been off scott free.. it just makes me sick tbh, and makes me wonder wtf is going on in our world these days..

Not all kids, I guess you could consider me a kid and I don't do shit like that wasn't raised that way. Then again I also have other ways of keeping myself occupied between the dirtbike and the garden my hands are full, regardless there are a lot of kids that are punks and needed to be beat.

I like to think I understand being young, that I was young- I mean, obviously I was. But now, more than ever, I see why those old bastards were pissed at me- I get it now! Ha ha such is life.

lucky for me i don't care what the little pukes or their parents think of me. as long as you don't lay hands on them you can pretty much do whatever you want. and by the way you can thank this pc nanny society that we live in where it's illegal to even look at your own kid sideways. the parents are the beginning of the "me" generation. it's us stupid fucking late 20 and 30-somethings who were raised to believe that discipline is bad and are raising their little crumb snatchers the same way. i'm one of those fucks who will tap the kid's bike with my car if he won't get out of the fucking road. then i air horn the fucker when i speed off. no, i'm not kidding. fuck them. i have no record. i'm saving it...

i think your on to something with keeping yourself occupied dj.. i really do.. when i was a kid, i was too busy riding my bikes and making jumps and or riding my skateboard and building half pipes in the woods to really get into too much real trouble.. kids today have shit handed to them, like in my town they have an incredible skate park, and kids don't know what it means to have to work for something, so the destruction of what someone else worked hard to achieve simply means nothing to them...
i also tend to think that kids got worse when parents got away from beating them when they needed beating, and putting them in a time out.. wtf is a time out.. my mom used to beat my ass when i needed it.. do i think she went over board?? fuck no.. do i think i deserved it? fuck yah.. do i think i'm a better person as a result today?? i'm sure you all know my answer, lol.. but kids today aren't afraid of their parents the way i was when i was a kid, and there fore think that they can do what ever they please..

i totally agree with you and the parents getting away from beating their bratty ass kids asses total.. i see no other real difference from the way i was raised and the way kids today are raised other than this major difference..
my nephew acted up the other week, and you better believe i smacked him across the head a few good times after i found out.. its the only way kids respect you, and know that you mean business..

yah, lol.. i would have caught the lil fucker tonight if i didn't have my dog with me.. but then, i know i would have tackled the kid and he would have somehow broken his nose on the way down to the ground, and i would end up getting into trouble, being that i don't exactly have a clean record and all..

the nice thing is though is that i saw this guy whom i don't know at all walking out of his house one house over from where i lost the kid, and told him what had happened, then when i got back to my block, he pulls up next to me in his car and asked if i found the kid.. he was actually out driving around the blocks in his car looking for the kid as well, which made me feel really good that others care as well..

I feel for you. I can't stand that shit. We have punks that tagged up these new buildings behind my house. It gets painted over and they do it again. I would love to take a couple of shots off at them, but then again being a civilized human we can't. My parents would have horse whipped me and made me drink motor oil for doing that kind of shit when I wad younger.

well, that is my whole point.. my neighborhood isnt the best, but i try and keep it the way it is.. if the kids want to go tagging, the fun city of camden is only a few minutes away on the bus... go there and tag to your hearts content.. don't bring that shit to my hood..
and i could care less if they are tagging on say a stop sign on a street sign, but doing that shit on someone's property is just ignorant in my eyes..

You should find the kid and destroy some of his shit so he knows how it feels maybe it will help him grow the fuck up and respect others property.

i've been thinking of rigging the stairs up with some fishing line so that the fucker chokes himself as he runs up the stairs, but i've been too chicken shit to do it yet.. i would love to watch as the punk gets closed lined as he's running up my steps at full speed.. that shit would be priceless...
