Hey good people or RIU,

started my 3rd grow last week, after 2 pretty successful ones. this time i planted 3 x DNA genetics Tangie, directly in the soil.
2 of them emerged from the dirt within less than 3 days, but the 3rd one didnt. after i had already given up on it, this morning, almost a week after the others, it suddenly appeared, but it emerged from the side of the pot, even though it was planted in the middle of it. the cotyledons were a very light green color, and the stem appears to be very thick and white(!) compared to the other 2.
attaching some pics. has anyone ever experienced anything like that? would love to hear your thoughts.

here's the strange one:

Seed probably got washed to the side when watering is my guess. I have done it before.

Thanks for your replies. But I don't think this is the case. I'm using airpots and the soils is pretty damn tight. It has to be, or all the water would pour out from all the holes in the side. Looks like it started growing sideways till it hit the side the pot and then came upwards. By the time it got out, the stem became very thick, and white. Try to zoom in, I covered most of it with dirt before I took the picture, but if you look closely, you will see it.

Yeah, thats definately from watering. That firstpic I saw fan leaves beneath the cotelydon. Your soil may be packed tight, but when you water it displaces soil, and id hope its not TOO tight. ALSO; shit happens! Shes fine! give her a lil while shell prolly do better than the rest with that thick root!

Thanks for your help guys. It seems to be stunned though. Cotyledons are still closed and no change since it popped out more than 2 days ago So I hope you're right, SimplyStoned. Attaching a photo taken just now...

I think shell be fine. And I think shes gonna have LOTS of tops... because from the looks of it; it may have two main stems before you know it! new growth should come out of the center of the cotelydon. That growth on the side there looks like a node in itself. Interesting! :bigjoint:

I could have a strange perspective going on here too lol
