The only reason my hopes were up is that "our" petition was SOOOO far ahead of all the other petitions. like 3x as many signatures ahead of number 2 by popularity-that sounds loud and clear to me but I have intelligence and I'm a rational person so.....yeah. Plus the top 10 by number of signatures were 4 that read basically the same thing. My real surprise I guess was just how deaf elected officials can pretend to be in the face of the overwhelming volume of our cause. I look for polls all the time online about this issue and can't recall the last time I heard one poll number up to be against legalizaton (medical seems to be the no-brainer). I'm used to finding out that all my middle schooling was a lie and history classes were distorted to be almost untruthful on their slant but it's hard to swallow when I'm fucking 33 and feed me the same tired-ass soil and green shit burgers. DARE was lies and bullshit then and it still is so why on god's green do I still have this shit thrown at me like it's true at my age and experience? And from the highest office in the land to boot. it's truely disheartening and shameful and frankly makes me physically sick to think about.

People need to vote for a new president, Ron Paul to be exact. If there is another candidate who is marijuana friendly please inform us. I didn't expect a positive reply from the Obama administration, we already seen how he lied to us to get our votes then deceivingly went after us.

I'm not being negative, I'm just saying I knew that the petition was going to fall on deaf ears.

Petitions aren't going to help, votes are.
I'm with you now for sure. After that last election where I tried to not "throw away my vote" on write-ins or no-chance candidates and believe in change I'm ready to be idealistic again cuz it's obviously a choice of being fucked over by following a bullshit majorty or being fucked over by my own convictions. Might just as well feel good about throwing that vote away as feeling like shit for throwing it away trying for change. I need some fucking sunshine blown up my ass, I'm feeling pretty low about all this right now. Democracy is a lie, money is the vote that counts and it doesn't change. Took some pretty pissed off people in boston dumping tea and freaking out to get power to the people and its aparently not effective as a one time thing. I'm ready to re-up a little mayhem in the name of.

I took political science in college. The president has three choices #1 put his name on it and it becomes law.#2 let it sit on his desk for ten days and it becomes law.Or #3 A veto and it goes back for a revote. The same people that voted the fist time vote again and it becomes law. The only thing a president has to do is a presidential address. We have to hire a lobbyist to live in Washington DC as in district of Columbia USA.The only way to do that is to join a special intrust group or form one. Are you getting me?
