Yellow babies

Hello everyone.
Happy Wednesday!
I have a problem with my clones.
I have a "Power plant" Mother who grows successfully and I can clip her back frequently.I am attempting to grow a lollipop sea of green. I had read that clones can go into 12/12 at 2 weeks but my clones are never ready at that stage. The clones however take a lot of coaxing.
I start by cutting them and putting the tips in water to prevent embolism. I have a home made bubbler bucket with an aquarium heater in it to room temp. I have been using straight tap water in these. I usually get a 50% strike rate with the roots. I have two bubblers in my veg tent. One for weeks 1-2 and the other for weeks 3-4 My problem is that the clones start to yellow out a bit, they go very pale yellowy green. I had read that it could be a sign of the PH being too high so I adjusted the H2o in both bubblers to 5.6. The clones that had already set roots but were yellow responded to the change in PH and their new growth is coming through a lovely dark green but even though I adjusted the Ph for the new cuttings they are yellowing.
I have included pics. Some aren't too good but you get the idea. The well rooted clones are weeks 3-4.
Can anyone give me a few pointers, I have tried to find the answers myself but have to admit defeat and ask for guidance. Thank you in advance.
