Yellowing in Leaves, looking for advice

:wall:Just to give a quick background on what my plant situation is.

I have 3 plants, both bagseed, Temp is 86/78 (on/off), 18/6 cycle, PH around 6.5, lights are CFL, good air circulation/venting, watering every 3-5 days:

Plants 1 and 2: 2Months old, Started Nutes 7 days ago, and did one water since with no Nutes(didnt know if Nutes were causing problems)

Plant 3: 1Month Old, have not started Nutes yet.

My problem is on plants# 1 & 2, about 3 weeks ago i had started to notice some yellowing of the bottom leaves ( i didnt think this was unsual from what i have read and thought that the bottom leaves were supposed to turn yellow and die off). Shortly after more leaves started to turn yellow and the plant started to droop. I assumed it was due to overwatering and possibly needing nutes. So 1 week ago i fed them nutes at 25% using BONNIE PLANTS SOY NITROGEN BASED, 8-4-4. I have also watered them 2 days ago without nutes and the problem is still happening where the leaves are yellowing and becoming more abundant and the leaves are totally drooping.

Also regarding Plant #3, the same issue is happening(keep in mind i have not used nutes yet with this plant) except no drooping leaves.

What can be causing this? Not enough nutes during vegging? Maybe i should be waiting 5 days to water for the drooping leaves? I have done some research and the most i can come up with is a Nitrogen deficiency.

thank you in advance

I think you said it...Nitrogen.

They look underfed and underwatered to me.

Are those clay pots? They suck up moisture and dry out quicker, so watch out for that.

You planning on potting up at all. If so, do it now, they will love you for it. Best of luck.

Plant#1 & 2 are in clay pots and Plant#3 is in plastic. Do you really think im underwatering? I water every 3-5 days and only when the soil is dry. Also doesnt drooping leaves mean overwatering?

thanks again

yeah man, it can, but your leaves look a bit wilted to me, and the soil doesn't look saturated or water logged. When were they last watered before you took those pics?

The best way to gauge when to water is to learn the rough weight of your pots when dry and wet. Just pick 'em up and if they feel light, you need to water. Moisture meters are cheap as well if you want to be totally sure.

all teheplants were last watered on Tuesday afternoon(no nutes). Also i have only used Nutes on Plants 1 and 2 (older plants) 7 days ago for the first time. The 3rd plant, no nutes have been used yet and last watered this tuesday

Ok, only 2 days ago then....hmmmm... But I just re-read your post and the plants are 2 months old! So they could easily get dry in 2 days. How long have they been in those pots? I am now suspecting you have compacted soil and your plants could be a bit root bound in their pots. My best advice to you, as an all round fixer upper, is too get some nice new compost and bigger pots and pot them up. Like I said before, they will love you for it!
