Yellowing leaves, should I harvest?

Yeah, I know the characteristics and i'm sure its at least an 80% sativa. Very thin long leaves and it tripled its original hieght when put into flower. All the other plants I have are indica dominant so I don't have anything to compare her to. I have no troubles with height as I have already tied her down. I'm just wondering why theres bareley any bud when shes 7 weeks into flower. All of the hairs are still white but she has a very fruity smell while all the others have more of a skunk smell. I guess if she does go 13 weeks then she still has quite a bit of time to do her thing.

Me again with yet another complication in the garden. Heres the deal. I let the plant in question get to about 15 inches before I decieded to lst her. I did so and never touched her again. Now she is 9 weeks into flower with a baseball bud and 1 huge baseball bat of a cola! I to the main tie off a few weeks ago, but left the countertie. Now shes gotten so fat that shes leaning completley on her side. I have propped her up by the side of the wall but why is she falling all the sudden? I watered her and shes still being lazy so, any1 know whats up?

the buds got too heavy for the branch probally, its a good and bad thing, lol, just tie it so it stays in place or support it some other way.

I pulled a bud off the leaning cola plant a few days ago. This morning it was dry enough to smoke and I did so. I'm in love now. I didn't even cure this shit and it taste just like my first hit of top quality shit. Nice skunky organic green, but not to green taste. Appearnce is fuckin awsome. Very deep red, almost maroon hairs with a lemon/lime green color, and just absolutley covered in trichomes. I've always been happy with my product but this bud is by far the best I've grown so far. Just thought I'de share.

Ok, I solved the leaning cola by simply addind another countertie. Now theres 2 in a V shape. Shes back standing tall again. Where should I look at my girl? I took her out of the room yesterday and when we got in the sunlight. I noticed that damn near all the hairs are orange. But under the HPS they all still looked white/yellow color. I'm gonna wait until the few remaining hairs turn then I'm choppin. If she fattens up anymore the branch is likley to snap. If I never realu used nutes do I still gotta flush? The pot shes in has a resivour at the bottom. I think its a 3 gallon pot. Anyway I can't get the bottom off! Not even with 2 people. Is the flush realy neccasary?

So I've got a question. I have never seen trichomes through a microscope first hand. I do have a 4x- 8x magnifiying glass. I was lookin through it yesterday but couldn't see to well. From what I did see thier mostly cloudy, but then again don't know what to look for. However I noticed that in the sunlight what I think are the clear trichomes kinda sparkle in the sunlight. Is their a way to tell trichome color or general idea by using this?

Thanx Dark but I've seen the chart before. As you know I can't find a 30x microscope so I can't even get that close. From what I can see with this 4x- 8x magnifying glass there cloudy. But like I said I'm just gonna wait until remaining hairs changa and harvest. The remaining leaves on the single cola plant, curling, dying. Harvest within the next 3 days!!!

doh, i forgot to put the info.......lol
we will start with ripeness. most people say to check your trichromes with 30X magnification. i have other ways. when buds are done they look "done". the appearance of the bud changes. the leaves start to hook upwards and become hard and crispy. the calyxes will swell and the hairs will turn brown. you can see a golden tinge to the bud leaves. this is the amber crystals. they start to turn amber on the leaves first.

not ready..........

ready.......

notice the difference? it's pretty easy to see once it occurs.

Damn, I wish my bud would look like that. But all the hairs are orange, I'm now just waiting for them to receade into the bud. Like I said leaves are all going yellow so I'm pretty sure its just sucking the last available nutes outta them. I will keep posted though. Thanx for your help DarkD.

Well I harvested the plant you told me to wait a few weeks DarkD. It was essentially dead. Nothing but crusty leaves to trim. It just foxtailed like a mother, but definetly added some final weight. So thanx again DarkD. I will always use that rule of thumb now. When you think its done, wait 2 weeks. lol

Radio Shack has a 60x-100x illuminated microscope for $9.99. It takes a minute or two to get the hang of it but it works. Hope this helps!

Thanx for your help MountainFarmer, but I've already been to 3 Radio Shacks in my area and none of them had one. They told me they will have to be ordered online. I said fuck it. Today I will harvest the leaning cola plant and be done with it. 77 days flowering, it ain't done I'de be surprized. I have 1 female that I left rootbound in a pot for two months so all she has is pistils. I'm gonna stop for a little, just keep this 1 plant alive by fluros. Then in a few months I'll already have a monster ready to flower if I choose.

Hello RIU. I'm currently 54 days into flowering a few bagseeds. The plant in question has been lsted. She has lost all of her fan leaves. Now most all of the sugaf leaves are yellowing and falling off. Hairs are about 80% orange, most have receaded into the bud except for a few white and orange hairs. The tops of all the buds have gone a light purple and alot of the small leaves that poke out of top cola have started browning and goin crusty. The only nutes shes had are the ones in the soil. Been feed molasses once a week since week 4. By the sounds of it does she sound ready? Sorry I don't have camera or a microscope at the moment. Should I let her go till all leaves are gone? Shes pretty much just buds and branches now.
well when the harvest is ready the hairs turn amber/brown/orangy. also leaves start to get gloden color and curlupwards.

so with that being said if this is how your plant resides i would harvest. pics would be real helpful
