You can see actual bugs in a couple of the pics. Definitely not enough light and the foil should be removed.

Whitebb2727 edit. I never said anything about hot spots and foil, I just don't think it's worth the effort. The bugs and shitty light are definitely the problem.

Honestly you should've just waited until you were 100% ready to start growing. Miracle grow and a sick clone with bugs is a terrible start. It could be a host of other issues with that clone. Good luck

Going to wipe down the leaves w a wet sponge & make an habanero spray mist. Heard it kills the mites while not harming the plant, any thoughts?
It doesn't kill them. They don't like it.

I use Captain Jacks spinosad.

Its not poison and works on all leaf eating pest. I used it on mites. Killed them in two foilar treatments and added to water twice for systemic action.

Where did you get the clones? They are crappy looking. Severly stretched and bugs to boot.

The trick to using miracle grow soil with time release nutes is keeping it on the dry side.

'We are the Borg! We welcome your organic concoctions; you will be assimilated!'

You need to nuke the site from space immediately.

:-D
Nah. The spinosad will wipe them out.

I would still use a good insecticide around the grow area but not directly where the plants are.

The grow area can be cleaned with bleach to kill the remaining mites.

People "nuking" them is what has led to insecticide resistant mites.

Man this is terrible.....you got those from a shop? Miracle grow is burning those little guys. Probably came out of some kind of Coco with minimal nutes and you put it in lava. That shop should be ashamed. If you can see mites in a pic. There while operation must be infested. So your also smoking mite shit with every toke. My advice. Get rid of every one of those. Clean your area with bleach then water then ammonia. Then buy a bag of fox farm ocean forest and 1 liter each of general hydroponics Flora Nova 3 part series. Grow micro and bloom. Then get some good bag seeds as this is your first grow no reason to spend tons on good seeds. Get Solo cups poke some holes in the bottom. Take your soil mix it 60 precent soil 40 percent large perlite for drainage. Plant your seeds 1/2 inch under the soil in the solo cups. Water with tap water for the first 2 weeks. After 2 weeks get some 3 gallon containers. Fill the bottom 1/4 with fox farms strawberry Fields. Mix the other 3/4 with the 60 40 mix from before. Transpant the 2 week olds into the 3 gallon pots. Water with 1/4 strength of the recommended dose of those nutes from above. Do this for 3 more weeks. Now switch your timer to 12 / 12 continue with the nutes at 1/2 strength until 1 week before harvest. 1 week before harvest put 15 gallons of water through your pot and let it drain out. After that water with only water until plant is chopped down. If you all ways grow from seed it may take longer but doing that and making sure you have a clean grow room. Also don't mow the yard then go water your plants. Take your clothes off maybe shower don't forget bugs are tricky fuckers. If you don't bring clones and other things from shitty operations like the one that sold you those pitiful things. You won't have to worry about bugs. Follow these steps and I guarantee you will at least harvest a plant with some decent bud on it. Good luck happy growing. Go green!

PS forgot to say. Never over water! Lift your pots by hand. If they feel full of air water. If it feels any hevier DO NOT WATER. Over watering is the main cause of plants starting to get unhealthy and the other things happen and it snow balls into a shitty plant or harvest.

Don't clean the plant. Just the grow.

A good ole water hose is great for mites. A sprayer will work. Take them outside.

Rain or water will remove a lot of mites.

From a weed shop? I would never go back there if they were stretched like that and had the bugs.

If your light stretched them you need better light.

Clean the grow area and spray the plants off. Treat the plants.

Get better soil and light.

Tbh, you can't really do much worth untill you get rid of the mites. Spinosad as whitebb mentioned works & dont forget to clean the room if you hate the idea of dormant mites waiting for your bottle to run dry lol.

Also, you can make your own soil mixes for MUCH cheaper then fox farms and it will perform way better with less deficiencies, something worth looking into.

You can also use fox farms, But imo its an "easy" button for new and/or closet growers that don't understand dry amendments yet so if you don't mind paying the cash then i don't see nothing wrong.

Super soil is amazing. So are dry amandments. This guy know his stuff. I mix 2 bags of ff with my super soil just to add their bullcrap and some live organisms and bacteria. I have not added nutes in over 21 days just 6.5 water. And my runoff tonight was 5.9 with 750 ppm. Perfect if you ask me. Had not used my pH or tds meter in so long I had to hunt for them. Save your self money and headaches with making your own super soil and using only water to feed unless you see crazy needs for nutes then fo organic! Nameste!

May also gave the onset of powerdery mildew which unfortunatly isnt uncommon in shoddy cloning operations either. White nailed it on the spinosad. Hate to say it but i to would trash thoes things and sterilize the garden. Go somewhare else for your cuttings.
