Yes I am ;) good catch!
I prefer to spray the silica bi weekly

1oz silica blast combined with 1 oz neem oil or azamax (do not ph adjust)

it gives the added benefit of protecting against PM
similar to the same method green cure uses

greencure is ph up and soap

the high PH kills the PM and the soap makes it stick

you can achieve the same thing with silica and neem and get the benefits of the silica and the protection of the neem against bugs all in 1 spary

I just happen to have this baby lol

4 Oz per 10,000 gallons to get to 7.2 - 7.8

Now I just have to figure out how many ounces for one gallon of water
0.0024 tsp / gallon

I don't know about the ph down product

are you sure it cool to use it?

sodium is something your trying to avoid....

it depends

either phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid (battery acid) depending on which nutes you use

sulfuric acid will add sulfur and phosphoric acid will add phosphorus

your stuff adds sodium??? it (the sodium) might be low enough to be fine but its not the best option

I take 1 gallon jug fill it half way

add 1 pint ($10)battery acid/ sulfuric acid to the jug

then top it off with water until its full

Re "Which nutes" foliage or bloom?

Yes, the pH down I has is 95% sodium bisulfate.

which brand

for example;

general hydroponics usually have a higher amount of P so in some cases sulfuric acid is preferable to avoid adding more P

but with advanced nutrients they have very low P in there mix so I would stick with the phosphoric acid cuz they cann use the extra P

I've handled muriatic acid, really carefully.

Use that solution for every watering?

Then, do you check the run off water's ph?

A week or two before I noticed some yellow stems I activating one of these overnight. Could that be my problem? Or a Catalyst for the problem?SmartSelectImage_2017-02-04-00-27-08.png

Virgin Soft water pH 7.8 EC 539 ppm 288 @68°
Virgin hard water pH 7.8 EC 522 ppm 250 @68°

Soft should be lower pH - waiting on my digital reader, strips are hard to read. Will make sure watersoftener has salt in it, it should though.

Directions talk about buffering solution not sure how important that is whatever.
