Hey whats going on every one my girlfriend decided to get a pack of seeds off line. Im using the towl method to germinateand have been for the last 24 hours , 3 of 6 just poped and just revealed there little white root. should i wait longed till the root developes a little longer like another 24 hours until the other seeds pop or should i move them into the plugs now? Also im still planning on picking up clones today, will there be any trouble with the seedlings with the clone as the clones will go in my growroom under 18/6 and i was wonder if it would hurt the seedlings development?

Thanks

i move my seeds into their spot immediately after they crack. let them start to root a.s.a.p.

seeds and clones should be at 18/6, so there's no problem there. after both root successfully, you can change to 24/0 if you like.

ya i was planning on switching over to 18/6 in 2 weeks. I read some where on the forum people having trouble with just going strait to 18/6, they say it makes the plants drewp and what not, is this true? just picked up the clones and put them in my veg room. I also just put the cracked seeds into the plugs is it alright that they are in the veg tent right now with the lights on? Thanks man for all the info!

i did 24/0 on my 1st grow from seed. i'm going 18/6 from seed on this grow. it mirrors natural light conditions and the dark period gives the plant time to grow roots while it is not focusing on energy production from photosynthisis.

that said, i'm not stuck on it since they both have good results. perhaps a side by side comparison one day would be in order. half of what we all do is experimentation anyway.

if they cracked, put them where they're going to live.

good luck.

My mistake when germinating for the first time was waiting until the tap root was about an inch long before sticking it in soil. The result was a very long stringy seedling.

Are you planning to reply to every old ass seed related thread from last year?
Cause this could be a long night...

they can take the 16 and more! don't let the root go too. much or they can break when planted! good luck
