dry herb only ( I don't use concentrates)

I haven't tried any of the pens yet but I'm interested in hearing some of the reviews.

The one you've exampled looks almost exactly like the one I bought last month (NV Fire). I like it, but it won't ever replace the pipe or bong as you basically get 15 hits and then you recharge battery for 2 hrs (initial charge time is 6 hrs). Mine is for dry herb only; and nothing else is needed to buy
Herb capacity is small, maybe 2 hits.....user is cautioned to not overpack or draw suffers.....it does.

Draw or pull is similar to e-cig.
It doesn't really vape, it combusts so there is no stealth.
Cleaning is important; a lot of tar is produced as the heating element is a single point so it doesn't get burnt off the sides of the chamber

damn 15 hits? ugh are they all like this? I saw a few saying they have a 600 hit then recharge?

stealth is not really an issue but would be nice to be able to take a toke w.o notice

what consumables do you use up when vaping? coils/filters etc?

The "filters" are that spring on backside of mouth piece that kinda packs the herb, a metal disc with holes and a ceramic "plug" with multi holes. Mine came with a replacement of each of those 3 I described; not sure why though as they are easy to clean, never touch the heating element and don't seem to degrade. I think the weakest part is likely the actual heating element....its like the old car cig lighter: a spiral of thin flat metal ribbon that will eventually degrade.....there is no replacement for that

The real vape pens seem to be a PITA....you have a bottle of the same liquid that real e-cigs use and you mix in your oil.

A vape pen that combusts rather than vapes? Why not just smoke a bowl lol..
I need to work on impulse control: I wanted a vape for dry herb only....this is what they are. 10 or so yrs ago a buddy got a vape....a box like thing that sat on the table, chamber for herb....this thing roasted the herb kinda charred it but no ash.....the smoke didn't smell like weed and the used product looked like coffee grounds....thats what I thought dry herb vape pens did lol

I've been using a vaporizer with Eliquid for 3 yrs (no ciggies, hey!). I've tried several different models and from my experience, you get what you pay for. I recently purchased a Davinci Ascent for vaping bud, my first time vaping bud ever. I know it's not in the same category as you are looking at but if you later get serious about a portable vaporizer for bud you should definitely give the Ascent a look.

As a beginner to vaping, I'm seriously looking into the "Joyetech C Twist" which is a pen type battery, you can purchase dry hurb atomizers for it, (make sure it's a 510 connecotr), the bat is multi voltage from 3.7V to 4.8V, you can puchase a starter kid here for around $33.00 + shipping, http://www.vaporfusion.com/joyetech-ego-c-twist-1000mah-starter-kit/ it comes with 2 clearomizers for E-Liquid, after all they are a more advance E-Cig, however as I said if you hunt around you'll find dry hurb atomizers as well as other "Mods", just google "e-cig mods" as they are callled, of all the reviews I've seen it seems this is the best pen for a starter, hope this helps.

I have that same battery with the variable volts. It's not bad, like you said, good for a starter.

Under $50 you wont find one that vapes but you can get a pen that smokes. It does have some stealth because it looks like an e-cig and I can smoke in the car and it looks legit but it does smell like whatever I put in there.

They only hold about 2-3 good hits max. Its also good for smoking outdoors in the wind.

You will be disappointed with dry herb pens you need serious juice to vape herb.....Ihear pax voporblunt ect work pretty well but pens are awesome for wax they really shine here......and joyetec ego are the same thing ppl pay 100 or more for as "concentrate" pens like trippy ect.....its just a 510 ecig battery I recommend the twist as variable voltage is nice.....usb charge on the bottom is nice too vape while you charge.....Ihave several ego batteries and vape nicotine eliquid for days on one charge through clearomizers....cartos for wax....

Who no concentrates?
The canna juice is excellent. Propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, and hash oil.
You can dilute it to whatever strength you wish. Since I found that, it's pretty much all I smoke.

few reasons.. mainly.. it does nothing more for me then smoking MJ does..

I think I have been talked outta getting a vape now.. 2-3 hits? I smoke way too much to be messing with a 2-3 hitter..

put the $ out for a decent 1, not that we buy weed but if we did they would pay for themselves in no time. my da vinci gives bout 12-15 hits per can. if you've seen the amount going in, it will amaze you how much you get from it.

I have a Pax and it's very nice, not as nice as the Volcano but still good. It's not in the price range but I saved up for awhile. I usually try to pay for a good mid-model or higher range tool. Unless it's in my field I don't go for bleeding edge tech. either. But I'd really recommend saving up for the Pax.

I hear the pax is the real deal. I have tried "dry herb carts" such as gentemans and warn ppl away from these....they are terribly inefficient and offer zero advantage to just blazing a j....combustion and all.

Make edibles instead of wasting money. When I am home I hit the bong, when I'm out I eat a cookie or scone. 100% stealth, no smell and the high generally lasts longer.
