Yesterday's Mass Shooting.

One of the main reasons the AR style rifle is so popular is the price of ammo. It's a smaller caliber 223 vs 30 06 vs 308. Simple math, larger caliber ammo is more expensive to produce. Not to mention actually producing the AR style rifle. Most of the knockoffs are garbage compared to the Colt model.

equals greater expenses
The larger calibers also kick a lot more and aren't as fun to shoot. But yes ammo prices also help make this a favorite platform. I think of the AR15 as the adult version of a .22 LR rifle. I grew up target shooting with my .22 Marlin. My stoner ass pawned it in Reno when I was a punk kid and I didn't go pay to get it back, :wall:

And mine is a Colt, :bigjoint:

@Fogdog ... They've even been as far off as 4 miles. I mean, how hard is it these days with GPS? I've prob made 5-6 re-deliveries because of wrong drop off point. I guess I can understand if it's a newbie driver... we're kinda spread out here.

According to the NRA ya need better fences and a remotely locking gate! Think what they tell schools to do and do the same! Sounds like ya need an RPG for home defense to take them out at a distance!
No fences for me thanks!... Although you can make your own Tanerite. Its just 0-0-46 AmNitrate with aluminum powder mixed in with it. A one pound charge is pretty damn impressive. I've thought about filling a 5 gallon mix near the entrance, but I hear it's not good to store it mixed. Besides, 5 gallons would blow out my own windows from 1/8th of a mile away.

An FPV drone with a bomb aboard can take them out miles away for cheap too, you can even wave off the attack and not arm the bomb if it turns out to be the UPS driver, just land on the roof of the van for a drive back home...

This is more for the Fed ex guy than for you. But sometimes when places are busy they rent trucks (that would most likely be unmarked) so before you shoot, at least look first cowboy
... and how was I supposed to know that?... and I did look, after he got out and I could see other packages in the sliding door. It's not like I drew down on the guy or anything.. c'mon man.

This was a rare occurrence, but it happened right before we left for vacation, and it was just down the road, so maybe you can understand why I was on point?

Yes if only there were more guns in that situation huh? I know lots of responsible gun owners. No one thinks they’re all bad. But didn’t you feel the handgun was sufficient for your situation? I think most issues in this thread are about AR (or whatever they’re called paddy) style guns. Military style weapons.

Also I don’t think more guns is the answer to the problem. Having more responsible gun owners (like you seem to be) stand up to the republicans politicians and say enough is enough. Have some common sense that the other party is not trying to take ALL your guns and bust out some legislation so my kids can go to school without active shooter drills. Thanks
