yet another nub concern

OK. I have this kind of limp and poorly managed first grow going. I let the plants in my bubbleponic set get WAY too big, all I have are those poor CF lights (the Stealth Hydro set, which is lovely, but a little limp) and am having trouble pulling the trigger to get some HPS love going on.

My plants are lovely and basically healthy, I know I am not going to get big fat buds, but I do, at least, have a LOT of dumb little popcorn buds. I do not actually smoke mush so I am not too worried about all that (an 8th lasts me about 4 months, seriously).

That said, at some point aren't even these limp little budlings supposed to get resin ish, start smelling like POT and like I get to pick them and smoke them and then over eat and be all chill and happy? How long does that take to happen? I think it is like 6 weeks now (next grow, I keep track, this grow seems like a wash)

I just cannot figure it out. There are lovely white hairs, lots of them. Wimpy but pretty little budlings. The smell is very mild and there seems to be no resin. =(

What am I doing wrong, can I fix it?

It usually takes 8 weeks to finish! When you notice most of the white hairs have died back its ready. Soon it should start to smell, unless you have a strain that doesnt. Some strains were developed to be low or no smell for stealt grows! Wimpy plants are usually because of nutes not being used right and not flushing. Start at 1/4 strenght and see how plants respond and flush with florakleen or clearex at least every 2 weeks. I like Supernatural and Fox Farms products. I have tried MiracleGrow which is a waste of time. Also Botanicare, General Hydro, Natures Necter and Advanced Nutes. Botanicare and AN are too strong. NN wont work in water farms.
and GH was a hassle to mix and I saw weak results. Even though I have a bud that swears by the stuff? Good luck! Hope next grow is better. It allways is.

Thank you very much, feels like forever =( And ya, looking really forward to the next grow, I learned a lot. I have just been using the nutes that came with the set but I have never flushed or anything, I just wait til the water level is low and then fill up. But there is no mold, sludge or other issue. Tank looks fine and the roots are white and healthy.
