Yields

get a good strain, grow them (veg longer, flower longer). The longer they grow (in each state, without getting moldy or anything) the better the yield. Maybe go Hydro (I am going Hempy bucket myself).

Thank you buddy. I got dutch seeds but this is my first grow so i used bag seed. I have big bug witch should give me those kinda yields....... but height is a prob for me. i hear talk that the SOG method would make it happen. but that's really short veg then flower. would that work? I know I need more light. I only used a 23 watt cfl for this grow! but everyone says my results are impressive. would better nutes and light be any help? I only used MG for this grow

Dude are you hoping to get that dry? Because 400 grams is 14 oz. You aren't going to pull 14 oz. dry unless you have trees like FDDs outdoor grows...

A couple of oz. per plant is a more reasonable expectation. You could use 1000 watt HIDs to bump that number up... but now you are talking about a lot more money for your setup.
 
that's not true at all... I've seen it with my own eyes plats smaller than mine with buds bigger than liquor bottles! but I'll take 400 wet! what ever comes outta that has to beat what i got this time. i just dont wanna waist my good seeds! I love that cat by the way! LOL
 
take a peek at my plant florida girl....... that's what i got using just a 23 watt cfl!!!! If you look at my album you'll see the setup i'm using now and the one i intend to use. maybe you can tell me what you think!
 
Weather you've seen plants yeild that much is irrelevant,thats a huge goal & a goal not easily achieved,you will allmost never be able to reach that goal using any amount of cfl's,it will require lots of HID lighting & some pretty skillfull growing to keep a plant healthy long enough to harvest a pound of weed.

Being that space is an issue with you i'd say forget trying to grow trees & start learning about growing single cola sog style,its the method i use & prefer over monster trees & ive grown monster trees,the single cola rotating sog style is the best yeilding style in a 12 month period.

OK... I looked at your album.... let me just cut to the chase... you are never going to get anywhere near 400 grams per plant in this setup. I'm not being mean.... just honest. I'm guessing 1 oz. max per plant dry.

BTW.... you should paint the inside of that cabinet white. The black is going to absorb the light... not reflect it. :)

I was thinking of using a shower curtain instead. would that work? i didn't grow that plant in there. the setup i used was just a simple desklamp and a halogen..... it should also be in the album. thanks for all the help. and as for the mean part... I'm all man, i can take it. as long as it's good honest advice feel free to smack me in the head all you want! hahaha I'm here to learn! My feeling are on the back burner for now. sometimes a lil asskickin helps you absorb knowledge better!!! LOL

LOL... that is your plant... I copied it from your album.

BTW... I never said your result wasn't good for your setup. I was addressing your question from your first post about getting 400 g per plant. You won't get it in that setup.

Thanks FL girl. i figure if i did so good with hardly any light why not go for the gusto! So, IYO i should hold off on tryin to grow those dutch seeds?

Hahahaha, Hahahaha, Hahahaha,those halogen work lights are killing me,not for the reason you'd think either.

When i 1st started growing years back the only way we had to get bulbs was to order them from high times or a lighting shop,even most lighting shops had to order 1,000 watt mh bulbs so it took a few days to get,i blew my 1,000 watt Metal Halide bulb & while waiting for a replacement to arrive i had to use a bunch of halogen work lights,they kept the grow going till the bulb arrived.

They got hot as fuk though.

The important thing is you got it from seed to harvest and likely learned a lot along the way. That's all any of us are doing... growing and learning.

I'm on my third grow and with each one I've changed something based on something new I learned from the previous grow. I'm not even into flower yet on this grow and I already have changes planned for the next one. ;)
 
cool, i wanna start my next ones maybe this week. My bday is the 1st week in april. y'all think i can have it done and cured by then? I am gonna buy 2 300 watt cfl's for the top and bottom of the new set up. I hope it works! I knew y'all would get a kick outta those halogens! LOL
