Yo my growrooms getting to hott!!!

Im starting a closet grow im 18 and i still live with my parents in west oregon and im setting up a closet grow ive grown plenty of times before a say ive harvested atleast uhhh I say 35plant!!! But im setting up my 600w HPS and growing 5 ice kush from Nirvana (ive grown then be4 so I know how this strain works) and 4 Blackberry kush from Nirvana (also grown this strain)!! but the amount of space im working with is a 3x5 closet but my mini fridge is in there so a could make a excuse up why there was a power cord running in my closet so now im working with 3x4 grow space !!! I got 9 1gal pots and a fan in there i got white walls so i didnt put reflective mylar! Im running my lights at night so it will be cooler and plus thats wen my parents are asleep but my temps are still getting real highh like my lights come on at 9:30pm and turn off at 9:30am!! And yes im 12/12 them from seed! but my temps will start off at 59 and then by mid night 73 then by 7am fucking 89 then by 9am 95!!! WTF!! I WAS HOPING TO KEEP MY FRIDGE CRACKED TO COOL MY CLOSET but didnt workk. I got my ballast on 75%. i cant cut any holes for venalation so i guy im gonna have to lock my room and crack my closet at night so air get in there and keeps it at 84 i need helpp!!!

you are pretty much screwed unless you can:
a) get a small ac unit
b) get proper ventilation
c) move out so you can...uhh..express your hobbies with a bit more independence.

you wont get away with an unventilated 600w anywhere almost unless you the light is in a nice sized room with proper ventilation. To give you an idea, i tried running a 600w barebulb in a 4x8x10 room. The light alone was still enough to raise ambient temps to 85+ and temp around the bulb was in the 90's. Even a 400w in your closet will prob have temp issues...

and one last note....i understand you are young and a proud "pot head" according to your sig...but, what the hell were you thinking trying to grow 5 mature plants under a 600w...in a closet...IN YOUR PARENTS HOUSE. with your proclaimed 35 plants harvested, I would think you have a bit more common sense :/

agreed. you need proper ventilation in there. you could add all the fans in the world but you'l only be moving hot air round. you need to draw in some fresh air. i know its too late for this grow but maybe next time try using cfl's. im growing in a small area and using cfl's, having good results. saves moving out too lol. good luck fella

I can not believe no one else said anything about a fridge in the closet!?!?! How do you think a fridge works just magically makes shit cold? It is helping to heat the closet not cool it, by opening the door of it, you made more heat not more cool. Go to the kitchen and stick your hand behind the fridge, pretty warm huh? You have to remember no machine works at 100% efficiency, so to make that warm air cool, it must warm the air outside of the fridge.
Next you are never going to get this to work, without going into too much detail a 600 watt light is about 3000 btu give or take, now you have that much heat in a little tiny closet where it can not go anywhere, it is going to get hot quick. You have mentioned a temp swing of nearly 40 degrees, your plants are going to stretch immensely and yield poorly due to the huge temp variations and extreme highs you are hitting in there.
The only way to get this to work is to get rid of the fridge, get an air cooled hood (what did you think we were all stupid for spending hundreds of dollars when we could have got the $20 hood like yours?) a big inline fan and duct the hood straight out a window.
This is why we all waited till we grew up and moved out before we tried to really grow.

Yeah and run the exhaust fan where??? Lol your right dont have kids im with u there!!!! But im doing this very carfully i got a badass heavy duty lock on my closet so i know no1 will be getting in it unless they beat the door down!!!

Serapis really has a good point here, You do realize that you are risking your parents lives here too right? 9 plants in a lot in some areas, enough jail time to ruin your parents lives entirely.
If you go out on your own and grow, get caught you go to jail. Do it at your parents house and get caught, you go to jail, mom goes to jail, dad goes to jail, the mortgage company forecloses on the house, the bosses fire them, and the are back to nothing, because you wanted to grow some plants. Good luck, i hope your dad beats the shit out of you WHEN, not if, he finds this.

I grew in simular conditions 3months ago with my whole grow being in the 80s and i yielded 5oz off 10plants on 12/12 in 70days so not bad for a kid huh?

I hope you have a laptop with wifi and they have community hot spots in your area.... I really want to see your posts when you are on the street...
