Okay people, I have a budget of $500. I want to get a secret jardin (unknown size), 250hps, Don't know what fans to get(intake,exhaust), What else people? Oh and this is not a hydro grow, just soil.

How many plants can be grown with a 250hps?

Whats the energy consumption on set up like this, how much of a difference in the bill?

What size tent do I get that can accommodate the 250hps?

So please tell me what specific equipment to get so I can finally make a journal and share.

A 250 watt HPS will cover a 2X2 area. If you do SOG style, you could get
4 plants in there. With the possibilities of getting 2-3 oz. of bud.

The energy costs are relative to how much you pay per Kwh.
For example:
1 Kwh hour is based off of 1000 watts used.
Let's say your paying .15 per Kwh. and your using 1000 watts total, which would include your fans, blowers, and light.
12 hours/day times .15 equals $1.80/day times 30 days equals $54/month

It's awfully difficult for me to list everything you need.
My advice buy some reading material, and educate yourself before you
start growing.

Hey, thank a lot for the info. I have been doing research on growing but haven't really found anything on setting up a tent like this. I am already equipped with Foxfarm soil(ocean forest),Foxfarm Big Bloom/Grow big, and all PH supplies. But I just recently learned that I am surrounded by about 4 hydro shops and a few hydro factories. I'm going to the factory on Friday and am sure to get a better deal than i would at the store. On Friday I will by a DR80 at a nearby factory and will also buy a 250 hps. After that all i would need is exhaust and intake, correct me if I am wrong.

build a 4'x3' box about 6' high $50 max. GO to home depot buy a couple of 15$ fart fans in the bathroom section. pick up some duct 10$. have one coming in the top and one going out the top. Build a charcoal filter in the exhaust. (10$)? hang your light from some studs at the top. put a power strip and extra mini fan inside. 20$. weather seal and or caulk the seams. Put a lock and a latch on it 20$. Paint the inside bright white 12$. put your light get two light timers one for your fans and one for you light plugged into the power strip 8$. Am I missing anything? Nutes, distilled water. there ya go. built one for a buddy a couple months ago with light he spent less than 350$

listen lame ass kid just look at what ur asking...duuuuh it's realy not that hard..theres a FAQ if u know what that is..there is also many book and i ur not too lazy u can do a goolge search...and if u want help dont tell ppl to fuck them self....and i did by the way thank u:hump::o...i dont want to be mean but damn cumm on really??really?? if only ppl whould get off there fat ass and do something....peace and good luck

Don't let "Some" people refer you to commercial retailers. All the knowledge you need is right here in these forums and the more DIY - da better for your pocketbook.

Also the brother of success is experience. Go for it! and then let us help you with the problems that arise!
