Hey what's up everybody, before i start, i want to apologize if this isn't posted in the right area.
Anyways, ive been glued to RIU for a while but only made an account recently.
I wanted to say that you guys are awesome and probably some of the smartest people I've come across. My father just passed away recently and it really has taken a toll on me. This site has helped keep me occupied and has been one of the few things that aids in taking my mind off of things. My father and i used to just throw some bagseed in soil and have fun growing it. I currently only have one little plant growing which surprisingly sprouted n popped up out of the soil the same night my father passed away, so i named the little sprout "pop"
Because it was literally the only seed that sprouted out of about 8 of them.
I definitely want to get a few more plants going, but i don't have any seeds nor do i know anybody that has any, and i don't really know about ordering seeds online.

So sorry about your dad but it sounds like you guys made some good memories. We are sponsored by several great seed companies. Seeds are easy to come by on here and all you need is a credit card. Welcome to RIU.

If you look around on this or other websites you'll find lots of US based seed vendors these days that you can order from online.

If you're in Europe the options are even better.

Sorry for your loss.

Happy growing!

Best of luck with 'Pop,' but I hope that it turns out to be a 'Mom!'

Sorry for your lose.

Lets hope "pop" is a girl and grows big and strong and you find a few seeds in her! (not many mind..just enough for "pop" to live on)
Or if Pop turns out to be a girl, you can get clones off of her.Cloning can help when you have no seed money. Sorry about your loss..:peace: Have fun learning your hobby...:hump:

If you want to continue growing that plant forever in memory of your dad; you should buy some seeds and try to get a male. After the harvest you could reveg your "pop's" plant and pollinate it with the male.

Well, i dug out the 430w hps and set my timer for 12/12 a little under a week ago. I wanted to know what sex it was. Looks to me like its a female. ill put up a few pics that i just took so somebody else can chime in. I'm really hoping its a female. Ever since my father passed, ive literally been feeling so alone and lost. I grew a special bond with this plant since as i stated in my original post, it was the only seed that sprouted out of 8 of them. Before i went to visit my father in the hospital, i checked and nothing was poking up through the soil. After coming home from the hospital, upset from having had just spent that last time i ever would with my father while he was alive,(he passed away while i was there with him) i notice one little sprout just barely breaking through the soil.

Just some more updates pictures, she's flowering! I'm so happy its a female. Already took a few cuttings, they're in process of rooting (hopefully)
I haven't given this plant any nutes, is it possible she'll make it to harvest without anything.. Or if i do need something, does anybody know anything i can pick up at home depot or lowes? As i don't have any hydro stores nearby.

Here's some more pictures of her. I flipped the lights for flower back on 4-28,
Do these flowers look like they're around the size they should be this point? To me, they look really small. All are about half to three quarters the size of a BIC lighter for size comparison....not much of a smell yet either... can somebody please chime in and let me know about where I'm at?

Look fine, just a matter of fattening up the buds. Stink will come soon enough.

It just feels like its taking forever. I know I'm definitely being impatient but, this is the first time I'm actually doing it all myself. Every time i had a crop before, it was my father who ran the show. I'm open to any kind of advice or criticism than can be offered by you guys on here. I'm just trying to learn everything i can.
