You make garlic wine before?

My buddy gave me some his grandpa made and it was awesome for cooking with. I have all the stuff to make wine but wasn't sure if I'd make garlic wine just like I'd make any fruit wine. Also was thinking if I was to make it, I should maybe try growing elephant garlic to use so if anyone has any pointers on that I'd appreciate it.
