Alright guys, am I just being paranoid or do I have an issue here.. Briefly, I have 4 seedlings in 6" net baskets. One seedling has a bunch of roots poking out the bottom of the basket, touching the water, which is an inch below the baskets. The other 3 only have one visible root, which are each around 3+ inches in length and starting to branch out in the water. The seeds were started in paper towels on 7/29 and moved to rockwool 2-4 days later (one took 4 days to pop and the others took 2). The rockwool went straight into baskets with 3 layers of hydroton under it and surrounding it. Roots started poking out the basket around 8/5-8/6, with one basket having multiple roots showing and the other 3 only having a single root. Today, 8/11, three of them still have only one visible root each. Water has remained an inch below the baskets since the start and I have been top watering once a day as the rockwool has been staying moist and I'm afraid of over watering. Airstones are directly under the pots. The seedlings all have their second set of true leaves growing (albeit the second set is tiny yet). The one with alot of roots isnt centered in the net pot like the other 3. Other than the wildly different root growth patterns, everything looks happy. I'm going to up my top watering to twice a day with one of the waterings just wetting the hydroton around the rockwool to see if that makes any difference. Is that the right decision to make, and should I be concerned about the plants that only have a single root? Sorry, I meant for this to be brief, lol.
