just to show you how cheap I am.. 
total 2013 grow costs are $121.70 My cheapest year this far! Last year was about $300.00 as was 2011 I honestly do not need that much more soil... but I am changing my plan on growing this year to OUT rather then UP... I do reuse the soil after harvest after composting it. If I stayed with the same containers as this year I would need only 5 bags more. I am guessing I will need approx 20 more bags of soil-amendments etc I live in a High Agricultural area.. had a guy from CL purchase a bed we were selling and he gave me his business card turns out he works at a large organic co and gave me some great price quotes... like $3.00 per gal of mollasses (was spending $3.50 for 16 oz) ... makes his own compost teas...etc..
I plan on going to him with the list below and seeing how he can do on it.. the prices below were all from lowes.com Steer Manure (or other) 4 bags total cost $5.64 Amendments 5 bags total $13.00 6 bags top soil total cost $16.50 16 quarts Vermiculite total cost $9.06 Topsoil 10 bags total cost $27.50 Dr Certificate renewal $50.00 total est for 2013 grow $121.70 seeds are from previous grows and I will also take clones.
