your choice of light

Hey everyone, hope everyone is having a great holiday season.
I am about to grow a some autos inside a tent.
I am going to buy a new light.
I was wanting to know which should I get.
I grow for a hobby, I dont even smoke.
I let friends and family have it.
I was thinking of getting a meizhi 600w led light.
Or should I just get a 400w mh/hps light?
Again its just a hobby grow with a few autos.

I only grow with Leds personally but in your situation I would recommend a dimmable 630w ceramic mh because its simple and will get the job done well, if you can afford it. Otherwise the 400w would be my pick out of your two choices. I would stay far far away from the led light you listed.

I have looked at the 315w cmh light.

I like my HIDs and have lots of lights for my needs so I stick with what I got. Old magnetic tech that goes like the Energizer Bunny. Hortilux bulbs for the win!

All depends on the size of space you are using.

Go for a 315 cmh.

I love my Hortilux DE HPS. But as mentioned the CMH is a solid choice.

400watt hid. Will cover about 3x3 well. 315 cmh claims of up to 4x4. You would be hard pressed to find indorsments for that led.

My tent is 31x31x60.
I have a 4inch fan with a phresh carbon filter

according your tent, meizhi 600w is a good choice, I also have meizhi 600w, can yield about 1.3 gram per watt, and cheap price, nice

Remember if you choose an hid bulb over an led or t5, you will have more heat to deal with. I have an led in my tent and it doesn't even need an exhaust fan...just bottom vents and one vent on the top open with a fan inside...i have central air though so that definitely helps. If using an hid bulb then getting that heat out is a must...thats my biggest drawback to them, I love hps bulbs but hate replacing them every harvest and dealing with the heat...im lazy

My 315s put out less heat than hps/mh. Why would you change bulbs every harvest?????
