Your Favorite Sativa?

I am new to growing (10 days into first stretch)

So many varieties and strains. I have been reading since November when we finally voted to legalize in Michigan. My current grow is Blue Haze and Mango Kush, in a tent. Michigan spring is coming and it's time to get an outdoor grow going.. with so many choices, I ask your experience as both growers and smokers.

What is your favorite Sativa and if you have a trusted source for the genetic strain, that would be great too

I ran an awesome sativa dom white widow for 4 years. I've been thinking about trying to get one back in rotation it's been a while now. I love that strain.

The last 4ish years I've been running a C99 cross I made. It's a pretty balanced hybrid but my favorite pheno leans towards the C99 mom(which was an awesome plant).

I haven't ran any yet but I want to. Docs dank seeds has a strain called "triple purple rhino" which has a beautiful sativa pheno.

I've also recently heard amazing reviews in a strain called " Kali China". It's supposed I be Davy sativa but still faster finishing.

Would that be Mr. Nice's Black Widow? I was just looking at his website, but they don't have auctions going right now. They do have new "combo packs" and I was looking at the one called "The cup winners" pack. It had Black Widow, SSH, and Shark Shock

My wife has been asking for a good sativa for a while now, but I mostly have Bodhi strains and they are usually heavy hitters. Another company that I wanted to try was Dynasty and their Pineapple Fields which is Kali Mist x Mrs Universe. I haven't heard much about Pineapple Fields, but a few people recommended it a while back.

Actually it was a g13labs white widow. It came as a freebie with my first attitude order, and turned out to be better then the seeds I ordered :). It grew thick frosty colas.

Not to sound like a broken record, but really anyone wanting to grow a sativa and not wait 12-15 weeks should try C99. It's got lovely fruity flavors, and matures nicely in about 9-10 weeks of flower time, but is still definitely a sativa!

It sounds like my first Attitude order in 2011. I got a free Kandy Kush from Reserva Privada and it is possibly my favorite strain. I ran it recently and it wasn't the same, but I still have another pack to try.

I'm sure that Mr. Nice should have something similar. I bought Black Widow as one of my first seed packs and I don't think that I did it justice. I planted 6 and put the cotton ball(accident) back in the vial. Ruined like 15 seeds. I've been thinking about trying it again now that I have 8yrs exp.

I tried it, but again, I was a rookie making rookie mistakes. I see that one of my favorite seed banks carries Mosca seeds.

I've read great things about the mosca version :). Is that your mustang in the picture? I've got a buddy with a very similar mustang that he is rebuilding right now. Putting a big blown motor in it. I haven't seen it in person since he started but it seems like it should be sweet.

Yeah, I found this one at a car lot and financed it. It had a very nice body and a cool engine kit, but I think that the ECM was bad and caused it to stall and sputter. Long story short, I think that they(previous owner) twisted the woodruff key on the crank damper. Now, the crank itself is stripped off. It gave me a reason to pull it and get a 331 stroker bottom end. I'm probably going to get high compression and not worry about a blower. They still sell 91 octane(non ethanol) in Oklahoma. I'm looking to get an honest 400hp/tq to the wheels, not the crank... I did a OEM rebuild on previous transmissions(AOD), but I was going to try a few mods this time like a reverse clutch drum and a valve body.

I have the engine pulled out, but I am going to wait util I finish paying the car off before dumping more money. That's why I am able to buy the seed packs lol. I might even try to get a greenhouse before an engine.

C99 from female seeds is c99 crossed to Jack herer. I'm sure it's good stuff but not pure C99. C99 finishes in 7-8 weeks, not 9-10.

ECSD hands down. Best sativa to grow if your stash is also other people's stash as they'll actually want to buy it/trade for it. Jack herer, ssh and the like are great smoke but taste is lacking for most modern consumers. Cross those to a fruity strain or an OG/diesel/chem and you're in business.

Actually you are incorrect here. The brothers Grimm created cinderella99. The original strain was from a jack herer bag seed that was decidedly special and that they back crossed until they got Cinderella 99.

The female seeds version is from a back cross of 2 different phenotypes of Cinderella99. Though not the original it's an awesome strain. While the breeder recommends 53 days, I found I preferred another 10-14 more days then that.

I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. I know what a breeder types and does is 2 different things. I've grown it, other people have said the same thing over at icmag. It's not pure 99.
