Your Favorite Terpenes/Terp Profiles?

OK, so what's everyone's favorite? Does it stay the same, or does your preference change? What haven't you tried, that you'd like to try??

Me personally; i prefer deep dank "savory" cultivars like GMO. Peanut Butter Breath was a favorite for a while, but after growing it and smoking only that for several months it kinda wore on me, lol.

I'd love to grow something "sour apple", i think that might be my next venture and I may have testers for that.

I ran Cannarado's Blue Apples (Sour Apples x Blueberry) during my last grow, and they straight up smell like granny smith apples.

I love the chem, sour, OG family. Old Afghan lines have some incredible terps too, piney, gassy, sometimes minty...lots of great terps to be found in landraces. I'm pretty much tired of fruity terps, but I do like some purp terps too-earthy, kind of grapey. Some of the skunk terps are nice now that they're so much less common than they used to be, I especially like cheese.

I really like lemon terps.

Oh it’s not personal or anything, I just hate anything lemon! Anything with just a little lemon skunk in the lineage is always is all lemony and I feel like lemony is the flave of too many strains mixed together. Different tastes are what makes the world go round though! I should have used a yuck face.

For me lately a fire strawnana cross has been my favorite flavor for sweet, and properly finished gmo fave for funk.

Yeah, I didn't think it had anything to do with me personally. ha. I was just wondering. I've only had a few plants that turned out lemony, and they were always a surprise pheno that weren't listened in the strain's profile. So it was always like finding a cool toy inside of a box of cereal.

I have a White Widow that has this amazing hashy, gassy, floral smell and taste to it. It's quite amazing. I also have a Bruce Banner with an incredible fruity lemon terpene profile. Tastes amazing. Smells so strong. I like the very pungent deep dank savory like @PopAndSonGrows said. GMO, Chemdawg, I love Tahoe OG's terp profile. I have some Alien Treatz in veg from Robinhood and I am very excited to see how the terp profile will end up seeing that all 3 all its parents are most likely in my top 10 in terp profile and best weed I have ever smoked. It is a cross of Black MAC and Runtz. The Black MAC being made up of GMO and Mircale Alien Cookies Caps cut, So GMO, MAC, and Runtz. What a combination. Also excited to pop the new Square One Big League and Frozen Fuel. I am hoping that the Tahoe OG terpene profiles really have an impact on the cross with Banana Butter Cups. I am a huge fan of the really gassy terps and I heard the Brisker OG gas terps really shine in the Big League cross

Honestly though, I think the best terpene profile I have ever smoked in my life has to be Rainbow Chip. It was Rainbow Chip by Natures Heritage in Massachusetts. Not only was the smell and taste out of this universe, but the terpene levels were hitting close to, if not, 4% total terpene percentage. Only bud in my life that when I ripped a nug in half slowly, I could literally see with the naked eye gooey stringy strands of rosin stringing apart like cheese when its melted-on pizza and you rip 2 slices apart. Like in the pizza commercials lol Quite remarkable. Really a fan of Sour Amnesia terp profile also, and Dosi-Woah

I loved the terp profile on Rainbow Chip so much and it was such a good smoke, that I went and got Exotic Genetics Rainbow Chip F2 Reg Seeds. Going to have a little pheno hunt with the 11 seeds (sent 1 extra) for a good mother so I can keep the genetics as soon as my Square One pheno-hunt is done or I get more room to put lights up lol

My recent Flavour Pack blew me away. Soapy floral terps that has a potpourri smell and the most amazing Kush taste on exhale.

I really only care about strains like this that have killer after-flavor on the exhale. So many strains can smell amazing on the plant or as a dried flower, but got no flavor when you smoke them.

I enjoy everything. But berry and fruit are at the bottom of my list while pine and spice are at the top.

One of the reasons I grow different strains every grow is because I like variety. It's hard to choose just one. It's like asking what's your favorite barbecue item. I like brisket, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, etc... but I can't choose a favorite.

Og/chem/sour is my favorite. Then for fruitier stuff, purple urkle, zkittlez, and cherry pie.
Edit: and lemon!
Least favorite: jack/trainwreck, nondescript fruit with armpit and spice , and fucking berry white

Oh yeah I'll add, I don't like "Cheese" type stuff.

As stated i like the savory stuff which can border on onion, even b.o. type funk, but the cheesy/footy/"fermunda" funk I just can't get into. Although I will admit whenever I've smoked a "cheese", the effect has been great.

Everything tastes a million times better if you vape. I know exactly what you mean, only very few strains actually have a taste and usually only at the start of the joint.

Vaping on the other hand always gives a wide flavor profile. You can also judge a plant by how much vapor they produce and how thick the vapor is. With some strains I can fill 4 balloons with my Arizer EQ with just 0.5 grams of weed. Other strains barely 3 rounds of thick tasty vapor

I grew Red Diesel and it had the smell/taste of feet, but the strain was so nice I got to like the taste.

Right now I'm growing Serious Happiness by Serious Seeds and it has the most fruity sugary smell I remember.

Favorite terpene profile would be Haze for sure.
I also like citrus a lot and Skunk/burned rubber is also high up the list.

From recent grows the ones I liked most were the dumster Pheno in Bodhis Terpenado, the Mango Hashplant with very strong Mango aroma, and most recently DFGs Missy Stash which reminds me a lot of fresh sweet dough or Blueberry Muffins. Missy Stash is also one of the strongest in a while.


On the weird end I had Bad Dawgs Ortega x Apollo 13 which was straight up onion/sweat smell. It sounds weird, but it was really good and totally different from any other strain I had or grew so far.
