Hey all i was just wondering what your first grow was like, how much you got, and what strain?

My first grow was a joke, I knew nothing about growing.
I was in my college dorm getting really stoned when my mates and me found some seeds in our weed. So we through them in some pots of dirt dug up from the college grounds and left them by the window for a couple of weeks.
When they were too big and could be seen outdoors, I put them in my wardrobe with some 100w incandescents.
There were light leeks everywhere and cables showing out the side of the door. I have no idea how I never got caught, Everyone in the dorms knew about it and cleaners came in every week.
Before I could flower them, I had finished college and had to move out, so I packed them in a suitcase, moved into a new house and set up in my wardrobe there.
I added more incandescents and started using miracle grow.
I thought I was doing well as they were so tall. After a month or so I got bored of waiting and every few days took a bud or two off them.
Eventually they finished though and I was left with about 1/4 ounce dry.
As if that wasn't bad enough, I then tried to make some oil with what was left. didn't really do any research, just knew that I needed to filter butane through the leaves. I didn't have any, but I had some zippo lighter fluid and figured that it might work because they're both flamable (very stoned). I filtered it into a plastic cup and had a orange liquid, but it was taking too long to evaporate, so I put above my incandescent lights (over a few new seedlings) to dry it, then I had a few bong hits and forgot about it. A few hours later I checked it and the heat had melted the cup full of petrol, the lights had shorted out and the seedlings were covered in petrol and died.
After this, I decided to stop growing for a while and do some research. I've grown a few crops since then with much better results.

Lol wow, that sounds like a bad first experience, but you learn from your mistakes right.
