YOUR OPINION needed: more grow vs. more cure

Hey everyone.

Today is November 8th. For my purposes, I need my bud to be ready to smoke by Tuesday the 29th. That is exactly 3 weeks. I am assuming it will take 5 days to dry, and between 1-2 weeks to cure. (NOT IDEAL, but thats how it is)

Its a seedsman WW with 8 weeks + a few days of flowering. Under a 100x microscope, I have about 50% cloudy, 10% amber, and 40% clear trichomes.

The question is:
Do I let this baby go for a few more days, and get more maturity? -OR- Do I cut it asap, and give it those few extra days in the curing time?

I know that curing is super-important, and along with the many other benefits its converts THC into a psychoactive form. BUT, what will I see the most benefit from... more maturity with less cure time, or less maturity with more cure time.

I need to makemoves.com/asap if you feel me, any advice from you fine ladys and gents is appreciated x 12414%. Any and all opinions on this situation are welcomed.

(please dont comment on the fact that I should wait, i simply cant. the buds will be enjoyed on the 29th no matter what)

PUT the time in letting it mature more. Give it a few more days and hope the last few weeks you just gave the plants straight water, to flush the system.

You will benefit the most by letting it grow longer. Curing for a week or two is plenty. If you're anxious to hit the deadline and max your grow time you should skip the cure phase all together or minimize it substantially. They might smoke a bit harsher but I doubt you'll notice much of a potency difference, especially as compared to harvesting early. If you skip curing simply dry your buds at a higher temp (80-85F). That could give you smokeable product in 4 or 5 days and let you hit the 10 weeks that WW needs to fully mature.

Sounds like you'll be cutting corners one way or another so I say skip the cure.

Do you need to smoke ALL of your bud on the 29th?
If not, just harvest what you think you need (plus a bit extra) and let the rest continue to grow.

Now thats A GOOD idea the best idea so far i like that!!.............. He said hes got 3 weeks right?? WHY dont you just SAVE some money and buy to smoke huh? DUH.

second who puts dead lines on there BABY'S?? If i just spent the last 3 months giving all my love an attention to these lovely ladys you think im going to risk ruining it all in the Home Stretch?? HELLO no geezz you should let them lady's grow tell there APSOLUTALY ready and ripe for the raveshing Then tell them one last time you love them then CHOP there heads off fast like a bandaid and dont look them in the buds eather while you do it.......... Then dry them SLOW and and in a COOL place then cure them LONG and THINK about them at night too before you go to bed i heard that helps potency ya better believe it does...... Do all that and you can be proud of your shit........

First three guys.... thank you. Im going to end up letting it mature as much as possible, then skip out on curing for the bud i need immediately. Ill let the rest of the buds cure the whole time.

footclan... I obviously didnt plan this problem into my 3 month grow ahead of time... shit happened and im trying to make the best of it. but thanks for the paragraph summary on drying and curing, very informative. jk.

anyone else have input? thanks BROs

" thanks to the first 3 guys" wow Lol i thought my " just go buy some idea" was a pretty good idea actually. "the simplest answer is usually the best answer" you need it? you dont have it? then you go buy it.....everyting after that is less ideal in my mind.. If i run out while im waiting for my next cropp i dont say " i didnt plan on running out so ill just chop my shit early, no thats what i dont do.. what do you smoke while your waiting for them to grow?? Do you not smoke while there growing?? If you do smoke why cant you just smoke what you smoke while there growing it just dosent make sense really... And you made it sound like you had an option to let them grow more if thats the case then why are you harvsting everying but only smoking some why not just do what grumpy said and ONLY harvest what your going to smoke no reason to cut the other stuff down if you dont even need it yet why cut it down early if you said yourself your going to let the the rest cure propurly then let the rest grow propurly too man.....

Second if your that close to harvest anyway letting it grow a couple extra days will not help your yield bro come on you think they are going to grow that much more in 3 extra days if they are already close to harvest i would totaly disagree with first two people i think the extra couple days of drying you would get form harvistng a day or two early would be more benifical if your only priority is getting it to be ready to smoke.....just me though
