So im sitting here high playing GT5 and thought is it possible to grow weed in space?

It cant be possible can it? How are the roots meant to grow if there isnt a gravitational force for it to reach the feed and how are you meant to water it.. every time you try to water it the water will just float there....

Yes. Plants don't use gravity to grow. Capillary action and osmotic pressure ensures the plant will get all the nutrients and water it needs.

  1. Capillary action (sometimes capillarity, capillary motion, or wicking) is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of, and in opposition to, external forces like gravity.

If I'm not mistaken, it was N.A.S.A. that started the whole LED growlight idea in the first place, many years ago. You know they were planning on growing stuff in space!

Not only possible

but mankind's DESTINY

I fabbed up some protoypes of those for my neighbour.

The hydro spinner, that is.
Not the space station from 2001. Although, if you got the money, I got the time

The spinner never did catch on, though. Perhaps it was too soon for the market?
