Zeta Sage Outdoor: First Timer

Whats up everyone. This is my solo plant grow of Zeta Sage, which is a 75% sativa dominant strain, being that of S.A.G.E., the other 25% being that of an OG Kush. The seed popped on June 16th so I am currently at 8 weeks. She has some calyx showing up at a few nodes but no pistils yet. This plant has been on a regimen of fish ferts, 5-1-1, Kelp for Micros and wildflower raw unfiltered honey since day 26, just as it reached its third node. I have just begin to supplement a 0-10-10 fish fert along with reducing the content of the 5-1-1. The plant, in its trained state, measures 16" today. Let me know what you bud masters think! (Soil level is at the line below patterns on the pot.) Also, if you would like to view videos of the grow check out my channel on YouTube, NEWBY GREENTHUMB. Thanks for having me.

She seems a tad small but really nice and bushy, how many toppings did you do? Next time fill that container almost full with a couple of inches to spare, bigger roots bigger fruits :).

Its only 8 weeks from seed, probably why it looks small. Without the LST it would be 2'6" - 3' probably. Popped on June 16th. I topped it once at the third node and have been using LST since the 26th day. There is maybe 20 gallons of soil in this pot and I only did this for concealment, although it was pretty much pointless as everyone of my neighbors can see it from an upstairs window. Ha ha! Next time I'll just fill it up. Thanks, big dog!

image.jpeg 3 weeks after rooted clone planted outside so that's why I was thinking kind of small. But still it's a pretty plant. I tend not to do much training with outdoor grows

I mean comparing a clone, which is a mature plant with established roots, to a seedling is almost comical to me. But, that is a pretty plant you have, brotha. Any real growth on a seedling doesn't even occur until week 5 or 6 once it has reached that mature state, in which you started with. Thanks for the welcome with your comparison of apples to oranges. Ha ha!

I wasn't upset, brotha. But, as far as I have seen online, an 8 week plant is only so big from seed. I mean, if I wouldn't have topped it and trained it the plant would be much taller but I have 20 tops at all equal level on an 18" plant already in 8 weeks. I haven't had any issues with it at all, so unless I pump a plant full of nutrients I just don't understand how I could get a bigger plant, from seed, outdoor, in 8 weeks.

Have a look at Ganga girls plants, trust me bigger plants are a reality. It's your first plant and it is nice but yup could be bigger. Not saying and never said it was a poor plant btw, just said it was a tad small and you asked lol. I cut my baby teeth on outdoor seed grows starting at 14 so do know a bit :). It is a nice plant and have said that numerous times but perhaps less training and topping was all I was alluding to, stealth was not mentioned in your first post btw. Lots of ways to get bigger plants and as you grow more you'll see they are capable of more. Again it's not a miniature plant and it looks good for the first.

Of course they get bigger. If I would have started at the beginning of the season they would be much bigger. If I would have vegged inside for 2 months before the season started, they would be much bigger. I'm honest and I am extensive in my due diligence. If there are 8 week seed popped monsters grown outdoors, I've never seen them. Thanks for the compliments but I feel you're missing something here. Its 8 weeks from seed!! Ha ha! Show me bigger plants at 8 weeks. Not taller, bigger. Please. Because I can't find them online anywhere.
