zlock's 1st micro CFL grow - Skunk #1 and Aurora Indica

Heres some pictures for you guys... White Widow is the one that looks a little stretchy, Aurora Indica is the one in the background thats shorter. They seem to be doing good.
Not sure if I'm gonna germ any more seeds for now after all, I just moved 3 clones from the flowering cab to my veg case cause they're gonna wind up being wayyy too small to be worth while, and the clones i've got veg'ing don't look all that good, not sure why.

One of the clones that is NOW gonna veg is Celtic Hash, which is hands down looking like a keeper. I really want a mom of her. I threw in a pic of what the one I got the clone from looks like with I'd guess 2 weeks left. This thing is getting HEAVY!. Dense, dense, dense!!! Gotta get to work on how I'm gonna dry these things.

Also included is an updated pic of Skunk #1, which I'm also wondering if I should veg for a while too. She's 3" tall right now.

I'm still open to suggestions for what beans I should try next though... I've got a lot of choices and need YOUR help!

Yup thats Skunk #1 in the third pic, she's hanging out with the "Big girls" in the flowering box, its crazy how well she's doing, yet 6 of the last 8 seeds I've tried to grow are all dead, haha. Her shell was cracked when I got it and it was kinda open a little, I was expecting it to be a dud!

I just vaped a little bit of the Jorges Diamond that I had to chop down several weeks too early. Not the tastiest bud, but I'm pretty high right now, I'd guess I've got about an eighth or so. Can't beat free weed.

and yeah dude, I havn't read anything or seen any pictures of anyones purple bud from seedsman, I've been really curious about ever since I decided to buy it... I think I'll do one of those, should I do two or should one other different one?

Seedlings are looking good still! I've been giving them like a bottle cap full of water every 12 hrs or so and they seem happy, I was drowning and baking the other ones and thats why they died

oh and skunk #1 was germinated new years eve I believe, I know I planted it in soil on Jan 1st, so a month old today

Well, the Aurora Indica died, and if I were to have to guess I would say overwatering.
The White Widow is only a few days older than the Aurora Indica and they were right next to eachother under the same conditions, I only was giving them a very small amount of water a day (water bottle cap full).
The White Widow looks fine, but I want to germinate another seed or two... I'm thinking maybe a G13 seed, possibly Gigabud? its fem'd so at least I know I'll get one girl out of the two....

I'm also thinking that a micro perpetual SOG might be a bit difficult for me to keep up with 'cause of my schedule. I'm begining to think that the 4" pots will be the way to go, and I'll LST/Supercrop/SCROG them. Maybe have 4 of them going at the same time, harvest one every 2 or 3 weeks....

The Celtic Hash and the Cheese I've got flowering are on to their last few days... been giving them plain water for about a week, flushed them really good tonight, probably gonna harvest the Celtic Hash next week, unless the trich's start to get amber this weekend. The Cheese looks like it will be a few days behind the Hash. I'm anxious as hell to try them!

Skunk 1 is looking good but hungry, i'm gonna up the nutes a bit next time i water

anddd the clones I've got veging now are looking better... for a while I wasn't having much luck with them. All I want is a good mother for Celtic Hash and Cheese depending if I like them both. Jorges Diamond clone(s) will be put right into flower once they grow a bit, i didn't like how long it was taking to produce such small buds, but I'd be curious to try some (when grown till mature, the one I had starved and had to be cut earlier than it should have. The high is pretty good but weak, it smokes like $hit and tastes like $hit because of it being fed some pretty heavy nutes a day or two before, and dried up wayyyy too fast.) and possibly grow it again.

Oh and this thread I think is pretty much no longer Aurora Indica and Skunk #1, I think this will just be my never ending grow journal.

Well here I am a few days closer to chopping down my Celtic Hash and Cheese. I'm checking the trichomes with a radioshack handheld microscope, I want to wait till I see a little bit of amber before I cut'em down, I've been flushing them since feb 2, they're still getting more and more covered with trichomes and I can't wait to see what these things smoke like!

White Widow is doing good, I'm gonna throw it into the PC under the more powerful CFL's and hopefully it will start growing a little faster.

Skunk #1 is doing good, it keeps growing, and the clones (cheese, c.hash, j.diamonds) are doing OK.

I'm gonna germinate another white widow, 2 purple buds, and the G13 gigabud tonight. Hopefully they all survive!

well, all 4 seeds ended up with tails by this morning, they're all in soil now, and the Gigabud is in the lead with a little bit more than just the seed shell poking above soil! White Widow is STARTING to pop up a little bit, and the two Purple Buds are taking their time, which is totally fine with me as long as they aren't still asleep!

cool man, cant wait to see the pics.. i hope you get a female purple bud, really wanna see how that turns out for you.. my EM are looking good gunna start flowering in a few days so they dont get too tall for me.

Well, I chopped the Celtic Hash and the Cheese tonight, they're hanging up to dry in my closet right now. I have NO idea what sorta weight I'm gonna end up with, but it sure beats paying for it! I gave them a quick haircut and damn, my scissors were almost impossible to open up when I was done they were so sticky (and I was careful to leave any leaves that had a lot of trichs on them alone)
Now my flowering box looks all lonely with just the Skunk #1 and a clone (forget if its C.Hash or Cheese) thats sorta come back from the dead.

my NEW white widow is in the lead right now, followed closely by Purple Bud #1, and Gigabud is standing up straight, but doesn't wanna take off its hat! The last Purple Bud is still taking its time, I think it was growing the wrong direction then realized it and is now trying to turn itself around. We'll see!

My older White Widow isn't looking exactly happy, not sure whats going on with it but I posted in another forum so hopefully I can figure it out soon.

Well, it looks as though the Gigabud has given up, its just sorta laying on its side with the shell still almost completly on, and the second Purple Bud has yet to make an appearance, but I'll give that one another day or two before I give up hope.
The White Widow and the first Purple Bud are in the veg PC case and seem to be doing well!
Perhaps I'll germinate two of the G13 Labs Power Skunk's this weekend?

I'm really anxious about your purple-bud as well! I'm thinking of getting some seeds of it for my next grow which I think is going to be all CFL as well (depending on how much money we can save and put asside for the next grow)!

Latest news from Zlock country is that the skunk 1 I went 12/12 from seed turns out to be a VERY promising looking plant, so in an effort to increase the chances that I'll be able to re'veg and eventually clone it, I chopped her down today, so at just over 60 days from seed. (Germinated/put in soil 01/01/09)
Checked the trichs last night and they were probably 15% clear 75% cloudy and 10% amber... and they had been creeping their way up towards the tips of the BIG leaves, and I wish there was smellevision for you guys to smell this... Its not a very POWERFUL smell, but still a STRONG smell.... exactly.... like..... GRAPEFRUIT.
I couldn't quite put my finger on the smell at first, but then I realized it smells exactly like the grapefruit flavored throat drops (Halls brand maybe? I forget...)

So I'm anxious as hell to dry and cure the bit that I harvested and try it, but i'm even MORE excited about reveging this girl and turning her into a mom! The smell alone IMO is reason enough to keep her, but with trichomes literally covering MOST of the entire plant and its fairly quick growth even without proper nutes an care, I can only HOPE that the high is just as good as everything else.
So a SCROG of Skunk no. 1 is next on my list after these White Widow's and Purple Buds
