Zoic's grow - Round 3

Since Round 1 is almost complete I decided to start some new seeds, from the seed faeries. Six of eight popped so I expect 4 to be worthwhile, hopefully. The seeds were started from germ. beginning on Saturday, May 27, and planted on Thursday June 1. Pics were taken a few days later, and all have been replanted in 4 inch pots. I bought another timer and will have them on a 16/8 light schedule like Round 2.

Well now that I have some money to throw at growing it no longer seems as much about how much it costs, or how much I yield. I now realize that since I am retired this is one of my new hobbies, and damn it is addictive.

I bought a 65x magnifier and you can sure see the trichs well with that. I bought a pair of goggles that have interchangeable lenses 5x to 25x, but they are a bit qwerky I bought a sifter/shaker with two screens to capture my own kief.

Not bag seeds, LOL. I have 2 strains going this round, FrankenHaze and Blue Ripper

Just a T12, my original. I will be chopping the last 3 in a few more days and that will be the end of my first journal. Then these seedling will get the 38W LED instead. I received my 2nd Mars 300 but I have not decided where I want it with the other one.

I am tired of lazy, or just tired really. I do not want my brain to go on vacation like my body tends to do.
Your journal was about an experiment more than about a specific strain, which makes it continually interesting.

I'm a genetics junkie
Nothing like the taste of a new strain after months of work and watching them progress.
Going to be focusing on choosing some "keepers" and re running some stuff to really dial it in and max them out.
I've about hit the limit yield wise for my tiny cabinet

No doubt. I have high hopes for this strain being a winner for my wife and with Blueberry in the genetics is should be a good smoke either way.
I know for a fact if it wasn't great he wouldn't have kept running it for as long as he has.
Should be great smoke and far superior to lp junk

Absolutely. I have my setup streamlined now so I feel good about working with known genetics. The bag seed was fine for my learning curve and I just want to keep moving forward. I cannot wait to see if the GSC seeds produced something as good as the bud they came from. Next run I am going for the CBD cross solely for the purpose of making oil.

It's sort of an inside secret but if you contact most breeders looking for cbd heavy strains most will gladly help the cause and donate some or at least point you in the direction to finding some.
I'm not as sold on high cbd without at least equal parts thc and tbh I hate most of the terps from cbd weed.
Tastes like garlic onion with a shot of cat piss lol but that's just like my opinion man
To each their own.

I bet that stray fox daisy may would be awesome for you and said oil

I have had some CBD and CBD strains. I agree it tastes like crap mostly if you smoke it, but by mid afternoon I have zero pain. I will just smoke some good hash for the high. For pain relief the CBD has a proven track record that I cannot overlook. Thanks for the inside secret. Most I have talked to so far do not have anyone who wants high CBD so there is no need to grow it.

Well I know bodhi has a few cbd strains out there floating around and from what I remember they aren't even for sale anywhere.
Look up good medicine and barefoot doctor.
As well as strayfox and a few others.
I'm glad u found a regimen that works for ya

Thanks, that Good Medicine sounds perfect, 15% and 1:1. I will be looking at that one for sure. Pain relief without the high is what I need for golfing, reduce the wobble factor that comes with chronic fatigue. THC works well too but I tend to walk like a drunk if I exert myself too much.

I put 6 new seeds in the plastic cups with paper towel to germinate on Monday morning. There are 3 Blue Harley and 3 Pakistan Chitiral Kush (Ace) #5 X Scotts OG. I really like sativa and I wanted something with some CBD in the genetics. They all look like tadpoles today, the Blue Harley having slightly longer tails. Another day or two and I can plant them.

FREE POTS at Loblaws floral department. They are the same 5 gallon pots my wife picked up there for grow 2. They literally throw away 100's of them every month. Since the girl had to clear a bunch out to the back to be thrown out I decided to be greedy and I took 42 of them.

I also bought some mushroom compost and potting soil. I mixed it with some gardening soil and re-potted all the plants. I had to make some minor changes to improve the light alignment and I was able to fit all 6 pots in the closet. I have one light for each 3 plants.
