well possibly the root rot stunted it. is it Big Buddah's blue cheese? if so i have one going right now and it stayed pretty short with not alot of stretching when i flipped. nice aroma on it though.

how do you go with removing the tub to fill it/clean it once the scrog screen is filled?
Hi, I use a boating syphon pump and use 2 more tubs to sypon waste water into and the other to transfer new nuitrient water back into the main Res/s. The syphon pump can clear a 35L tub in under 2 minutes. Each Res. Tub has a viewing window and that comes in real handy..not only for seeing the roots clearly but also during Res changes and PH control :) - ZTELTHY :leaf:

do you use anything to clean it out? would be good to be able to get at the tub to wipe the walls just in case there is any build up. but it would be a little trickywith the scrog screen there hey

During early stages of Veg it is easy enough to get to the sides and wipe with tissue etc to clear off water level deposits etc.. But once the plant gets pretty much the size it is in the pic above/previous.. ..the roots do get in the way..but I dont see it as a bad thing, I mean once the plant is the size it is ..I am pretty happy that any 'leftover' deposits left on the Res walls.. would only add extra food substartes in the feed.. Providing PH and EC is on Par. it causes no stress to her what so ever :) .. and in the real world and in soil........like Cannabis Plants were intended...any leftovers would not have a bad effect providing its a nuitrient base the plant has already digested ...and by the time it has (been digested) it will have been watereddown so much that the EC would barely shift :) ...anyhow so far so good :) and this is my 3rd run in this Cab...20 oZ Here I come !! ..(Hope thats not just jinxed it!) lol...I pulled 17.5 oZ dry weight from a Royal Haze a year a so or ago.. so fingers crossed with a bit of "ZTELTHY - KNOW-HOW" :) Lol, .. fingers crossed anyhow :) ...the only real difficulty I have is trimming folliage at the back of the cab...but patience is virtous and a doob helps too...then just keeping a steady eye and a steady hand (and..20 odd mins) and the prob is solved :) [No work no gain] :) lol.. - ZTELTHY :leaf:

I've just removed a few of the bottom stems, so's not to over crowd/fill the screen just yet, then once she has grown a little taller, I'll start 'topping' a-lot !! :) :) - ZTELTHY :leaf:

what fan and filter set up you running to keep everything really quiet?
thats my biggest problem with setting up my current cab. i would like a 250w/400w HPS in there but i cant think of any way to cool it down/remove the smell with out getting a large centrifugal fan thatll be way too loud :/

I am running an 8" Systemair in-line fan and an 8" Rhino Carbon Filter, both are enclosed in the top of the Cab..and are surrounded with sound proof Dyna Mat and Accoustic Foam, I have a 15" hole cut in the top of the cab covered with a 15" Speaker Grill and a Bath Towel folded in half and stapled down with a 4" desk fan to push away the heat that comes out :)

It depends were in your home etc you have your grow space located and whether or not you can vent into another room/attic/basement etc... another option is you can box up the main fan and add a silencer in the duct run!? - ZTELTHY :leaf:

This should defo do the trick...I cant remember if mine is this one or the slightly more powerful 8" one but these fans are pretty quiet.... I suppose it depends on : How loud is too loud? - ZTELTHY :leaf:

The Critical Plus is now 69 Days into Veg :) :) shes nice and green and smelling good already, the PH hovers from 5.3 to 5.8. The plant has been topped multiple times and super-cropped in areas that are growing to quickly.. I will prob Veg for no more than 90 days total...I want her to grow nice and big so am going to use a 2nd SCROG level once the branches reach the far left of the cab. I plan to only leave fan leaves on the lower scrog screen then in new screen will be purely tops :) :) :) I may just tie them down instead of putting in a 2nd screen but I'll decide nearer the time :)

Hope you like the pics - ZTELTHY :leaf:

75 Days into Veg and shes getting big :) I will do my final 'Topping' today... every bud-site will be topped :) :) ..again :D ....not long to go now until she enters her Flowering phase..cant wait! I raised my HPS Reflector today, just a couple of inches..this will allow me to get better access to the stems whilst I am LST-ing them/tying them down/super-cropping the taller stems & branches..

Hope ya like the pics, shes coming on well I think !? :) - ZTELTHY :leaf:

she is lovely, cant wait to see her all tied down. how much you thinking she is going to stretch?

oh and i have a theory, i think preflower stretch is a genetec thing, AS well as a determination of how much room is left in the pot when you flip to 12/12.

so say you transplant to a 3 gal pot from a 1 gal pot, then flip to 12/12. (were using 2 clones from the same mother, taken the same day for this hypothetical experiment)

and the other plant you transplanted into the 3 gal pot 2 weeks prior. i think the one that you just planted into the 3 gal pot will undergo enormous amounts of preflower stretch compared to the one that has been sitting in a 3 gal pot for 2 weeks already....

same thing i feel applies to a hydroponics unit. the less root room it has in the rez the less stretch (due to a certain level of rootbound) so by the time you get ready to flip maybe you will luck out and have a little less stretching.
