could be nute buildup or bacteria slime, or if you use floranova it can cause this. you can rinse the roots off and flush the res out, clean it, and redo the nutes.

Could be just be from your nutes. My roots became brown Florablend and floaralicious plus made them brown what you can do is see if it will wash off with R/O water if it does and it doesnt stink than at least its not root rot.

I use the Technaflora recipe for success, it works absolutely amazingly for me. The sugardaddy and the humic acid in the B1-Red will stain your roots a bit, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. You'll see by the end of the week they're white again as they've consumed everything. That's what mine do anyway.

It's not your nutrients, they work great. Water temp is probably your biggest concern.

water temps have stayed pretty solid at 61-64 degrees since I started growing, the nutes were definately a problem as soon as I lowered the PPM to 700 the plant grew over an 2 inches overnight I checked after changing the water and the light was about two inches away from the closest leaf the next morning I check and the plant was all up in the light you can see the singed leaves in the pic.

I am thinking nute build up though from the B-1 red it doesnt stink I dont wanna wash it off cause I dont wanna waste the nutes, It did happen right after I changed the Rez water and added new nutes.

i know with using the advance nutrients perfect ph system that it will stain your roots as well....... you could try a lil H2O2 in your rez and it will make your roots white again, but it will kill off any beneficial bacteria.

as long as she stays healthy thats my only concern I haven't seen her today yet so I will check when I get home but I dont want to meddle to much, if it starts getting smelly I will add some H2O2
