H2o2 and hydro guard??

So Im curious if I can use h2o2 and hydro guard at the same time. I would like the hydro guard for the healthy bacteria to keep my roots clean, healthy, and to prevent root rot. I would also like to use h2o2 to maximize oxygen levels, further keep roots clean and healthy, however, whereas hydro guard is a bacteria culture and h2o2 kills certain bacteria, would I be able to use them both?

I know it sounds like a simple "duhh no you can't" kind of question but h2o2 is very weak at killing bacteria and I've heard multiple stories saying it's terrible at preventing root rot but it gives your plants a lot of oxygen. I just don't want it to kill off the culture in the hydro guard and have me wasting money. But if I can have the best of both worlds that would be prime.

Any one ever use one or the other? Even both?

no, you can't. h2o2 is a sterilizer, and hydroguard is a beneficial bacteria. It will kill the hydroguard. After you are using hydroguard, you should not need to use h2o2 again uless you somehow get a case of root rot, then you would want to sterilize everything and start your root regiment over.

Yea I figured, it would make sense for sure but I didn't know if the h2o2 was strong enough to kill the bacteria culture or not. So I'll just use hydro guard and if need be (in case of root rot) replace hydro guard with h2o2. Well thanks man I appreciate the quick feedback

I waited 12 hours after adding 2 oz of 3% hydrogen peroxide to my tubs and then added 15 ml of Hydroguard to 6 gallons of water. The Hydroguard should be fine now right? The h202 shouldn't still be sterilizing after 12 hours at 71.2* F, right?

I've been seeing this around, folks using hypochlorous acid with bacteria.. another member here observed small/microscopic creatures alive in their coco after using (~5ppm?) chlorine in their feed water..

Impello's video explains using hypochlorous acid at the recommended rates does not affect bacillus bacterias commonly used in beneficial microbe products.. not true with all bacterias as the ones you do not want are most likely killed off by the chlorine.
