The ''New Sound''

Hey,,,So lately i was listening to the radio and all the new music and i started thinking how much of a change a lot of music is going through.Everything seems to be becoming more robotic.How do yall feel about all the autotune alot of artist are using???

You can hear it in just about every spectrum of vocal music, and instrumental music as well. It just seems to solidify my notion that there are not too many GREAT vocalists in the mainstream anymore. It could be that the producers are forcing artists to use it, or that they don't think they can sell anything without it being all "spiffed" up. It's just irritating that EVERYTHING in pop music is so processed. There is little, if any, music-making going on. That's why they need to put on an amazing live show with explosions and costumes, because they lack raw musical skill.

The music industry is dying. We need true artists to breathe life into again without the "help" of today's producers.

A sick beat is the ONLY thing required to make a hit record these days. Just spend 15 minutes mixing pre-recorded stuff together and you're done. Example = My Humps (Black-Eyed Peas).

1. Make sick beat.
2. Repeat indefinitely.
3. EARN CASH!

I need more than a sic beet to enjoy music. Call me old fashioned. I like things like contrast, melody, harmonic movement, interest, diversity. All the things music can be. I know for a fact that there is good music being made right now. It's just not being sold. The mass public doesn't want thoughtful music. They want good beats to nod there heads to, cause they can't dance.

Ya i agree thats why i wish rappers like Pac and Biggy were still around.I also wish the oldschool bonethugs style was still around.Bonethugs-n-harmony just dont sound the same.There more focused on speed than on there classic harmony.
