banana religion

my first grow resulted in 5/5 males

so i researched things and saw banana religion and somebody who got 100 percent females from non fem seeds and said well, might as well


so out of my 4 plants that made it past seedling all 4 are female just confirmed it.... probably a coincidence but w/e im just happy that i have some females

however if you have some young plants and feel like its worth a try by all means please do id really like to see other people results

i buy my bananas still more green than yellow and let them sit right below the pot or in the pot untill they get yucky... then replace bananas are like 50 cents its not that big of a deal

1 banana per plant



now then... please dont flame about the sex being in the seed and you cant change what sex its gonna be because i know this. you can stress a plant into hermie tho so maybe some how its possible they are linked

It actually kinda gives the grow room a pleasant smell imo

i would love to show you pictures of the female flowers emerging but my good camera is currently in north carolina

however you can look at pics of the plants in my journal and just to prove this is legit heres a link to the thread when i started this

I tried it and still got a couple males out of 5 plants and used 1 banana per plant.

A lot of people laugh at this but it's proven (Google it) that the "Ethylene" gas that fruit gives off that stimulates "femaleness".

I've heard of it being used on seeds, but never on plants. I don't know too much about it though.

I like Bananas.......

they are delicious, on sandwiches, frozen on a stick covered in chocolate, on top of some ice cream, in a milkshake, or straight from the peel...

i love bananas in my cereal. just bought some cheerios and headed to the store to pick up some frozen blueberrys. mmm

when did you introduce the bananas... like was it the whole grow just a week b4 flowering?

im planning a grow in the next week and will be trying this. ill make sure to post my results. i know some people say its nonsense and some swear by it. but if it doesnt kill the plant then why not???

anyone heard of the music thing??? that plants react to different types of music???

AVON, Colo. -- Just follow the classical music. That's how police say they found a marijuana growing operation in Avon Wednesday.The marijuana was growing in the laundry room of Unit D in the 700 block of Nottingham Road in Avon. Police say the homeowner encouraged the growth of his plants with classical music.Police arrested Jeffrey Franzyshen, 38, of Avon. The marijuana arrest was a result of an ongoing investigation by the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and collaboration with the Avon Police Department.Franzyshen will be criminally charged with cultivation of marijuana, a class four felony.This is the 13th drug distribution arrest made by the ECSO drug task force since November 2007 when the task force was formed.
