bank of gage / gage green charity og

Gage green seems to have great genetics in their stable. I have have bought daybreaker, blessings, grape puff, and last but the one I was looking forward to the most, charity og.

Germ rates have been outstanding until I got the charity. I've been doing what I do for quite some time now. Im excellent at cracking seeds. Usually I can average 90% or better. I soak the seeds for 12 hours then place them in sponge pods. Moistened with bacto, placed in a small tuber ware container then on top of my t5. Works like a charm.

The charity must have a super thick shell? All sprouted very tiny tails, and then just stalled. When I try to help the seeds break open, only mush on the inside. I emailed Simon at the bank of gage, who was really good at getting back to me, but sad to say no reply what so ever. Really sucks. Especially that the seeds were not available on a regular site.

I had to get western Union money order and send it with confirmation to the uk. Costed me an additional 40 dollars to send payment. So no. I will never do that again, even as bad as I wanted to try this strain.

Chalked up as a lost, but anyone interested beware.

check my posts here. I don't complain and rarely have problems. But a zero success germ rate, I've never had until now.

You should hear back from Sy soon if you have emailed him, they do get busy over there but he always replies to all customers. They can't offer replacements for poor germ rates though, UK banks can rarely do this, cos of the "souvenir" loop hole. But breeder support is something you can expect 100%.
I'm curious as to why you didn't come direct to me or M4k @GGG about this before making this thread though?? I can vouch for BOG being legit, even if they are new.

Hard shelled seeds will need extra measures to ensure a better germ rate, scuffing or scarifying the shells before soaking is a great tip to get them moving with more ease. But these things can happen when dealing with seeds sometimes, but all GGG seeds are under breeder guarantee so it will be made right.

I've hit M4k up about this too and we will make sure you are well taken care of :peace:.

btw kgp just an update, maybe this will help? hope so , but , im doing some charity OG as well. and as u did mention the shell is very hard and tough. ive noticed it does like temps a little higher , in the low- mid 80s for germ for this , and make sure to have a little air flow so moisture doesnt build up too much. what i do is the good ole paper towel method, then put it in a dark cabinet with a back pad heater on high in the cabinet and couple inches away. doesnt get too hot at all. just keeps the water around the paper towell not cold from the air touching it. one of he 2 was ready a little after 48 hours, and the other is cracking with a little root showing now. healthy thick root nubs for sure. just a thick shell. hope this helps in any way. :blsmoke:

Thanks brother. I'm hoping we can work something out. (GGG and myself) I understand it is Mother Nature that's giving me my issue, nothing they did. Still waiting but it's very refreshing the attitudes these guys have. Real stand up guys for sure. If and when I get another pack, I am going to try several different ways germing. I hate to be unnatural but I might even take out tweezers and perform a little surgery on the shell when I see a tiny tail. Hoping for the best. High hopes!

And corey...Good luck on your grow. I'd be interested to hear updates every now and then, if you got time. I know I sound negative in my first post above but I am a very positive man. Karma is real. Do good for others and it might just come back around. I've seen it myself. Good vibes sent your way. Hope those naughty little girls grow into lemony, piney, fuely, stinky girls.

Peace!

hey bro....if skunkmunkie said he will look into it with M$K then you will be taken care of....they are so busy that it takes time to get ahold of them.....especially M4K.....I am sure he will also send you guidelines to follow for this next batch of replacements for you to follow to ensure germination.....no disrespects just good intent my friend.
Respects,

hey KGP sorry , I replied but seems it didnt post :/ , anywho its better i type this message now as I have more to add. I dont think you seemed negative , shit happens , life happens, youre a real person who has real bills and real expenses , and as long as you didnt belittle anyone , insult anyone or cuss anyone out youre ok in my eyes. BUT , I didnt type any of this before but I did encounter the same issue you had somewhat, except mine are now looking like theyre gonna make it. These seem to have an extra strong shell, try scuffing the husk like skunkmunkie said , and let them germinate a little longer and grow a little bit more taproot out before planting. Mine came about ground just to see the husk and appeared to not be growing anymore , but under the soil they were trying to get stronger to break this shell off. skunkmunkie gave me a great tutorial for his method for handling this and to remove the shell carefully by hand and tool and it worked very well for me. the dude saved muh babies hahaha. but yeah youre good man , theyll take care of you. IMO the coolest people in the seed and genetics business Ive dealt with.

Just got it. Great company with business sense, morals, and ethics. Im glad I spent my money there.

I still have daybreaker, blessings, and grape puff, all great germ rates and growing into strong healthy plants. Im very excited about giving these a go.

Big shout out to the gage green crew. Simon and skunk for helping me with my issue. As well as the loyal followers here on riu for chiming in. I plan on smoke reports for all the above. Thank you everyone.

The charity must have a super thick shell? All sprouted very tiny tails, and then just stalled. When I try to help the seeds break open, only mush on the inside .
Same thing happen to me a few weeks ago with Bomb Seeds and a Dinafem WW.

Just for kicks I took 10 bag seeds I had and germed them 3 different ways, paper towel, straight in dirt and soak in glass then put in dirt, guess what they ALL germed and ALL broke thru soil.... LOL,

So was it me or the seeds? I find that the smaller the seed the harder they are to germ, anyone else?

Good to hear that you got your issues resolved..
