How Much Would Bernie Sanders' Ideas Actually Cost?

People that have better ideas of how to spend your money than you do are sometimes known as thieves when you can't realistically abstain.

Bill Maher in an usual (but correct) move grills Bern about how to pay for his programs. At the end Bernie admits (finally) it will cost more than what taxing the top 1% would produce. "We may have to go down a littler lower than that (top 1%) but not much lower. Its clear he doesn't know what it would cost, or who all would have to pay for it..........but i can tell you, it would cost more than the free market would cost, and everyone's taxes will go up.

Politicians have not cared about cost, since Bill Clinton.
REPUBLICAN politicians don't care about cost when they are in power; only when they aren't do they start complaining about how much things cost. They are very consistent indeed about this.

They've also met very few defense contracts they didn't like- even when the Pentagon didn't!

Subsidies to huge, highly profitable corporations? Sure, no problem! Tax breaks for those already ROLLING IN CASH? SURE! NO NEED TO ACTUALLY PAY YOUR FAIR SHARE IF YOU'VE GOT A FAT STACK! And if greed doesn't work, fear and racial hate mongering step in to fill the ranks of right wing voters.

In short, the Republican Party lies about everything it can, and one of their biggest smokescreens is the complete fabrication that somehow cutting social programs for the needy in order to pay for tax cuts to the wealthy and wildly profitable is 'fiscal responsibility' when indeed the Pope himself came and called them out on it IN PERSON.

Don't take my argument as siding with the Repubs but both parties have been running up the deficit.
