I used to panic like this too. Not only do I think it's very unlikely they'r watching you'r house for signs, I don't reckon the 'heat seekers' can penetrate bricks and mortar on small set ups (tents closets ect.). Seed banks are legal in europe how can police justify their time prying barneys farms accounts etc tracking your bank etc.. but when you grow and smoke you'e gonna get paranoid at some points fact. haha.

Infra red detects heat your lights put off heat it is detectable.but unless the heat signature is like the size of your whole house the po po will ignore it.

Faraday cages are not difficult to make nor are they difficult. Some of the material may be a bit spendy but so what. I haven't checked in a while but def Google it. I'm sure some technology has changed a little since he built it. Venting by another heat source is always the right thing to do.
