Dr. Bob Suspended ???

Would you get your certification from a doctor who has had a suspended license?

  • Yes. As long as their license is valid now, I don't care.

  • No. I don't want to take a chance my certification will be thrown out and registration revoked.

Well we have unfortunate news. The state is refusing to release documents we need to defend our case (including investigative reports) and they object to allowing my physician expert to testify by phone.

I could really use an expert in pain management that isn't afraid of the board and is willing to testify in person next Tues. Anyone have suggestions?

The best expert witness that I know is Chris Conrad, but it sounds like you are looking for a physician. If you don't find someone in Michigan, look in my State.

Good luck!

Well they denied telephone testimony and won't even give us a full copy of the state investigative file to include the reports of the STATE investigators (if they even did a state investigation). This is all based on a BCBS sting operation- and we don't even take BCBS. Go figure.

We will be prepared for the hearing in Lansing on Tuesday.

Yes, I am aware of it. Our practice is VERY different than his and this is not called for.

alcohol has medical uses as well as recreational use. marijuana also has recreational and medical uses. marijuana is legal for medical use in this state for certain conditions. just the way it is.

Take care and good night-

yes they are, and it is up to you to eat them. Otherwise there are alternative ways to get your vitamins.

No, it had nothing to do with certifications and our procedures are correct. There were 4 counts. 2 can be immediately disproven (paperwork issues) and the other two question a judgement call on my part. I am comfortable with my decisions based on over 30 years in medicine, I feel a jury would agree. But we are dealing with folks that have an agenda, so we can only do the best we can do to support my decisions. Our hearing has been scheduled for Jan 19th in Lansing.

Are you facing criminal, civil or regulatory charges?

Just board action on my license. Nothing criminal or involving a lawsuit. We go to court in Lansing on Tues to have it removed.

I always recommend getting a lawyer/law firm that has donated to the judge's campaigns. With regulatory boards the same rings true, get someone who knows them. You know how the elitist game rolls, it's not what you know but whom ...

Good luck Tuesday.
