No lenses then
You can definitely buy the ideal reflector adapters though and use the Angelina reflectors, no problem. No lenses then
Personal choice you get more of a footprint with reflectors. Are the lenses better than reflectors, or is it a matter or application? I was just looking at the F13838 reflector, which looks to have a pretty nice spread.
I'll tell you about the shootout between two of my modules, identical in every way except one has 80 degree lenses and the other is bare; lenses are killin it.No lenses then
Ya I love mine tooI'll tell you about the shootout between two of my modules, identical in every way except one has 80 degree lenses and the other is bare; lenses are killin it.
This one is for a friend. Super soft run 3x3 - 9 CXB3590s @ 700ma.Nice job. I'm building a 36"x36"
15 cob set up as soon as Jerry gets back with a quote. Got my heat sinks and mean well 240's
I'm following along man !
I've read that lenses degrade light output by like 3% ish but it seems to me that not using them might also degrade output because of increased light dispersion. Seems lenses would focus the light better than without thus making up for a small output loss? Do you use reflectors with your lenses?I'll tell you about the shootout between two of my modules, identical in every way except one has 80 degree lenses and the other is bare; lenses are killin it.
Sweet. I'm running 48 on a 6x12... and another 48 on another 6x12 right behind it, lolThis one is for a friend. Super soft run 3x3 - 9 CXB3590s @ 700ma.
I'll be putting 50 CXB3590s in a 5*10 @ 1050ma. That will be the one to watch
Should have my veg lights done today or tomorrow. Will keep it updated as I progress though.
I wanna see the pics of the 48 cobs set up?Sweet. I'm running 48 on a 6x12... and another 48 on another 6x12 right behind it, lol
Your doing vertical though right @ttystikk ?Sweet. I'm running 48 on a 6x12... and another 48 on another 6x12 right behind it, lol
CXB3590 3500K CD bin 72V, 700ma, the Meanwell HLG-185H-C700B driver gives each of 4 COBs 54W with the dimming wires capped. Each module pulls at total of 224W from the wall, anywhere between 110V-277V. I planned for 824 PPfD across the whole array.Your doing vertical though right @ttystikk ?
Would love to compare rigs when I finish off my bloom room. 5*10 but hanging from the ceiling.
Are you using 36v or 72v? And what Kelvin rating?
Open or closed spaces? I'm wondering if the lenses are more beneficial in an open environment than a small closed one like a tent as light will be absorbed one way or another and while you cannot increase light output with lenses, you can focus intensity so all of the light is where you want it.I'll tell you about the shootout between two of my modules, identical in every way except one has 80 degree lenses and the other is bare; lenses are killin it.
These walls aren't covered in reflective material just yet. That could make a difference.Open or closed spaces? In theory I think the lenses make no difference in a small closed space, but in a situation where any light that doesn't initially hit the canopy is lost I think lenses would make a huge difference. It'd be worth testing. I may have to build a new light with lenses to find out. These walls aren't covered in reflective material just yet. That could make a difference.
That's weird. Everything I've ever seen or read stated that reflectors make your footprint smaller and more focused. Could you link an article that supports your statement?Personal choice you get more of a footprint with reflectors.
