Everybody had them everywhere. Half the people at the ball park had them at the games. Ran on a 9 volt. Made in Japan.

Forgot about those 'transistor radios'.Plagiarized or not, still worthy of some follow up imo.
-Cooking creatures with a magnifying glass was a go to when bored, starting anything on fire also.
-Climbing trees to the very top made you the cool kid, and hell yes I was cool. Still am and I can prove it! (spouse reads and ups life insurance)
-Two or three kids on a bike was not gay.
-Skin mags were found everywhere's, at least where I lived.
-Baseball cards were coveted and traded but also bought for the gum.
-Toy army men were the shit, so weren't matchbox cars.
-Portable hand held radio's were also pretty cool.
