Picked up robots yesterday from Fanuc America in Rochester Hills, MI. These are some expensive freight.

Here's a good looking Peterbuilt that was picking up a heavy haul load at one of the pellet mills I go to, he's pulling a Michigan b train conestoga trailer (it's just a curtain side double flatbed, there's no triple trailers in Michigan).

I'm going to make a YouTube account soon hopefully so I can upload videos. I have a dash cam in my truck and you guys have to see the shit I put up with on the road, all the idiot drivers out here every single day. I seen a doubles trailer with the rear trailer tipped over in it's side earlier this week and also drove past a minivan completely on fire on the shoulder.

Maybe someone here who is tech savvy can help me with editing videos and uploading to YouTube at some point

I'm headed to do a pick up in Wixom, MI this morning, definitely not one of my favorite places to go. This dock is really really hard to back in to, there is just not enough room. I have to slide my tandems all the way forward (so I can turn real tight) and it's a whole lot of pulling up and backing to wiggle onto this particular dock. Usually takes me about 20-25 minutes just to get on this one lol. Even the guys with a day cab struggle at this place.

There's a good 5-6 foot drop off right in front of this dock too, if I'm not careful and swing my tractor around to wide at the wrong time, I'll be in serious trouble.

I always feel relieved once I'm loaded and pulling away from this dock lol

There's a Petro truck stop on I-69 in Indiana about 3-4 miles north of I-80/90 that I stopped at a couple weeks ago, this place reminded me of a flea market lol.

They sell all kinds of knives, swords, brass knuckles, medieval armor, stun guns and Trump hats/shirts

How many truckers actually buy and carry swords and medieval helmets in their truck?

I bought a PayDay candy bar a 5 hour energy shot and a $1 scratch lottery ticket. I won $13 off the lottery ticket, thanks Indiana!

The editing is the bitch. I have hundreds of hours of hiking videos that need to be stitched together. The fact you are at home at night with a laptop will make it easier. Doing it on a phone, in a tent is non-optimal.

I am so bored, I've been held hostage at this receiver for almost 6 hours being unloaded.

I've napped, I've walked my dog and I've cleaned my truck.

Nothing left to do but bore you guys with some pictures of my truck and how I have it set up.,,.

I just bought this single serve K-pod coffee maker this weekend. Excellent addition in my truck, I love this thing. I can brew a cup of coffee whenever I want now. I plug it in to an extension cord that runs to my 1500W power inverter tucked underneath my bunk

Some more goodies...
My 12V iceless cooler and my microwave

I have this 12V vacuum to keep my truck super clean and a small George Foreman grill (I make killer chicken/cheese quesadillas)

Here's my Bluetooth headset, a Jabra Steel. I don't like those big command center headsets

Today I'm delivering a truckload of empty cans to Blake's Hard Cider Co. in Armada, MI

I've delivered/picked up from a few breweries here in Michigan -
Short's Brewery in Elk Rapids
Founders Brewery in Grand Rapids
Bell"s Brewery in Kalamazoo

I love going to the breweries, I don't know why but it's a good feeling driving around with a truckload full of beer lol

I'll get pictures later today

In a side note, my Garmin DeZl truck GPS just quit working yesterday, I was pissed off about that. I haven't even had it 18 months and it cost $300. It wasn't very good anyway, it wouldn't reroute if I had to take a detour, it would just tell me to turn around. Ok, like I can just swing my semi truck around on 8 mile road in Detroit lol. I ordered a new Rand McNally truck GPS last night, I hope this one is better.

And here's a pic I forgot to post a while ago, I was parked next to this truck at a Costco distribution center out by Detroit. Super nice and clean Peterbuilt. I'm not sure what engine he had in his truck, but it sounded really good

Are CB's still used?
I don't think so, at least not as much as they used to. The guys at my company only use CB to talk to each other and warn about road hazards like black ice and traffic back ups or if there's heavy state cop/DOT presence in an area

Hope this is the right thread for this. Any advice on dashcams? My cousin is asking for help but unsure of what to recommend besides the ones I saw on this article (https://www.ratedradardetector.org/dashcam/best-for-truckers/). Any must-have features? Brands to avoid? Any other considerations? Thanks for the help.
I just have a cheap Walmart dash cam in my truck right now, it works but I will get a better one soon, it has really terrible video quality.

This site has a nice selection of dash cams

And this is the one I've been looking at and will most likely purchase
